Anyone Tempted By The...

I guess there won't be a mech pack sale this month so, it's a Hero Mech sale. Anyone interested?

These sales are for the C-bill and MC poor (e.g. the unicorn-like "new" player). If you play regularly then the events of late give more than enough MC to buy your heroe(s) of choice, and if you are a long term player you also have (or can buy with c-bills) whatever non-MC mechs you care to. So no sales like this are of no interest I suspect to the majority of the remaining player base.

There are a few I'm interested in, but only the Legend Killer and the Black Widow for Lore reasons. And then the Scorch for gameplay reasons. If I could pay $20 for the three I just listed I would probably do it, just because I have $20 in disposable income easily. But since that's not an option I will pass.

The Sunspider Heroes, Legend Killer and Black Widow are tempting. But I'm not sure yet. Any advice? It's just that for 20 bucks, I can get 4 Hero mechs and I think the Heavy bracket has the best ones from what's on offer.

But, smart people would figure out they could get four heroes for a lot cheaper than you could otherwise. But, some of those heroes.......

and even for beginners, the 'offer' is very restrictive. they really should've thrown something in there to sweeten the deal.
premium time, a warhorn.. maybe a bad-ish light-hero .... something.

You seem pretty determined to go down this path. If you have the cash and want to spend it then wth.
BW is fine for 2 Gauss and 4ERML or whatever (I run it with 2LBX10s and 6ML since I tend to brawl with everything).
Legend Killer is quirked for LBX so if ya like 2 LBX10s then it makes sense.
The Vanguard and Manul can do pretty much any build. I leveled my Vanguard with ATM 36 and MGs and ended up trying a variety of different builds since. What you can do on one Sunspider you can do pretty much on another, so you are really just buying 2 blank slate 70 ton heroes that you can build out pretty much however you like, with the catch being that other (lighter) mechs with the same builds do them better. Still they look cool.

And who could forget about the scorch. It's almost worth it just for those 2. Lol

Hi Frag,
If you're dead set on spending real $ on the game, you could do a lot worse for twenty bucks. The LK is one of my favorite mechs.
Good hunting,

Slightly off topic but wanted to ask. I am a returning player...where do I find info about these events that give MC? I would like to start working on those. I have mechs to buy

They happen pretty regularly. Just the front page of the website or click the little E symbol at the bottom of the main mechlab screen when you are in game and you can see all past and current events. Most events for the past year or so, have had at least one act that will result in some MC. The recent Lucky Charms event, for example, gave players in excess of 1000 MC for doing little more than playing normally.
