Wow that is quite lower then I aspected. I mean it seams less then what you need for MWO.

Do you also have a targeted optimal configuration?

It's not less than MWO I have a 660Ti which plays mwo just fine . I dunno that it will play MW5 which is aggravating given that I already preordered.

Keep in mind that's the "Targeted" absolute minimum, and not the actual minimum it will be. Also, that's still quite higher than MWO that requires; 16GB free space (HDD), Intel Core 2 Duo E7300, and NVidia 8800 GT / Radeon HD 5670 for a graphics card. Though I will admit its still a lot less physical requirements (core, RAM, Graphics) than I thought, but WAAAAY huge for space requirements.

And it will run better on minimum specs than MWO on ANY monster machine, because of a better engine.

How well will it be optimized for Ryzen is my question? MWO was horrible, I3s got better frame rates than 2700Xs. Still that's pretty good for min specs. You could throw together a machine to run that for 500. Ucks, less if you already have ram psu case etc. Seriously, the guy with the 660ti, come out of the stone age. You can get a used RX570 for 75 bucks that will blow that thing away.

One thing to remember: Unreal notoriously and historically plays well on older systems. It has to due to how often it is used to make console games. The newer unreal stuff plays well on computers that struggle with frostbite...while still looking better.

I know this because my wife has a computer. It sucks.

Thanks! I thought I’d be right, but was a little speculative if I’d have to upgrade my card, but that’s well within spec for me. Of course, you need the newer cards for ray-tracing IIRC, but it means I can keep what I have for the moment, probably upgrade next year.

80gb? What, does it come bundled with Star Citizen?

Nah, it's cool. Just glad SSD prices have down so much.

Those are lower than I expected which is a good thing, it means I don't have to buy a new PC. That's a huge amount of disk space though. Compress textures much? Must be aiming for 4K or something.

It might not be optimised yet, but a lot of games which plan for heavy modding don’t optimise a lot, possibly because it makes it easier to mod if the files are unpacked. I don’t know, but my largest game is ARK at 160gb with all the extras. I think my version of fallout 4 is about 45gb. Payday 2 is 50gb.

Honestly, games are just much bigger these days, and 80gb is not out of the range of normal. I got a 2tb HDD for the monster games, and keep my SSD for the smaller ones - the loading difference is fairly minimal.

I will try to install and play with my current specs that run MWO at near-max settings, then might have to upgrade my graphics card.. Will see..

In terms of graphics cards the AMD equivalent of a GeForce GTX770 would be a Radeon R9 280X. For newer AMD cards the 380, 470, 480, 570, and 580 should all meet or exceed minimum specs.
