So for the fifth time over the last month, our unit has entered a game in which our pugs tell us we were afk in their previous match. I have never received any match ID screenshots to submit a ticket but I wondered if anyone else has been getting this issue. We literally will be in two matches at the same time. I can see how this could cause anger in group queue when you start the game down an entire lance or more.

Huh, that’s a unique way to keep player population numbers up. Wonder if their license renewal depends on that as a condition.

Going to have to keep track of how many games I play to see if I’m being duplicated....when I do play.

i would not be surprised if that is in some way related to the Disconnect issue that happens in Quick play

random units.. 2 guys always normally one from charlie and one from alpha (never a name just a blank chasis at spawn)

like match maker captured the player entering the room but the join failed, and the chasis or selection was still captured...

Ya it's just the strangest thing when you hear from other people, "You guys going to actually fight this game?" When we had just exited from a match less than three minutes prior. This begs the question, If we get killed early on in our match can we reconnect to our cloned mech in the other match that is running at the same time? Pretty crazy thought. I just don't want to be disciplined over something I have no control of.

Server population can be a loan or IP condition.......... We'll never really know but, all of the events with free stuff all of the time sure seems like they need "us event only players whom have not uninstalled.....right after the skill tree change!!!

You should take a video next time it happens, or have a pug take a video for you in the clone match...because otherwise PGI probably wont do anything about it if they can't confirm it. Probably wont if they can but its a start

It does make me wonder now if this can happen on an individual basis when I see DC mechs

Been on both sides of this and I really don't play group queue very often.

Yes! We had that in our faction group, someone canceled to get someone late joining and or whole group dropped (actually just our mechs).

I've had this occur when my pings been spiking and I'm trying to join a match, if I cancel and rejoin it's ended up dropping me in two matches (and in the same mech). I'm guessing the first incident of "cancelling serch" never made it to the server until after I joined a second match. It's a rare day when it happens. I suppose it could happen more but if the first match finishes before I'm out I can't see this happening.

Sounds like the matchmaker doesn't check if a player is already searching for a match when it receives a request. Would love to see someone drop with (or against) themself.

Liked your comment not because its happening to you, but because its good to make this matter public.

It's rare, but I have from time to time seen a small group, which I assume to be together based on tags and/or names, but they are all disconnected. I have formerly assumed they were doing a LAN party or something and their internet suddenly dropped, but what you're describing seems more like a bug.

I'll keep an eye out, screenshot and note the time next time I see this now that I know it may be a bug.

Gave up on the seal hunting grounds... err, Faction war/group que a long time ago but it'd be kinda interesting if it cloned you on both teams in the same match and you roll up on an AFK version of yourself.

I’ll probably never uninstall, just in case they decide to make the changes I want to see (AHAHAHAHAHAHA......no). Doesn’t take up too much hard disk space. Even all my friends who left when the Skill Shubbery dropped still have it installed. But, I am to the point of event burnout. Yeah, it was easy enough to get the free MC from the last few. But, what am I going to spend it on? Got plenty of decent warhorns for the few mechs I do play. Been selling mechs, so I don’t need bays. Got plenty of colors, camo, and the dekkels I want. Most bolt ons are mediocre, plus they didn’t do the only one I wanted for my Bushwhackers. Not interested in any heroes on the horizon. Probably wouldn’t even try to get one considering my recent experience with a CBill purchase that I outlined over on Outreach.

Probably not going to bother with the next event, unless it is also a double XP weekend.

Thanks for all your input. Hopefully someone at PGI read this thread and actually will take the time to look into it.

And this, is a sad reality for a "once great game !" And yet, they still, to this day, haven't figured it out and made a course correction???

A truly sad commentary and, even if MW5 works for them, a great many accounts will sit unopened till the servers close....
