this game really needs the title "NASCAR SPECIALIST" -
to be awarded to any player who gets most of their kills from back shot or from hiding until the end of battles to keep their armor fresh and to get easy kills from wounded mechs.
Especially if that person decides to call a battle - watching them feed the rest of the team to the enemy to increase their score is just depressing.
If nothing else, at the beginning of battle - you could see how many players are likely to run in circles and decide on a plan - no more assaults getting left behind or brawlers getting mauled without them knowing that will be their fate from the beginning.
New Title

Yeah, was thinking we need a Nascar map, like "talladega superspeedway". Domination is the creator of Nascar. Was never that bad, until that game type came in.

OP was back shot one too many times.

I agree on the title, "NASCAR PILOT" but the requirements need to be different.
- Put four invisible walls across HPG at 90 degrees to each other intersecting in the middle
- Have them numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 going counter-clockwise
- Every time you cross through them in order (1-2-3-4) it counts as 1 lap.
- Once you complete 100 laps give them the title.

No, he just came back from an incursion match that started with a typical nascar move and inadvertently turned into a base rush, when the enemy rotated into the base in a rather curious fashion. Some of us were still in the base and tried to defend but were overwhelmed. The majority of the team killed the part of the enemy team that was left behind (as I said, it started as nascar) and then came back to the base.
It was a close match. I honestly do not know how impactful the base defenders actually were, it might well be that their contribution won the match; I can only say I raced to the base as fast as I could which is why I was cored when I reached it.
However the amount of vitriol from the OP was unjustified and I am not sure about his contribution in particular. He made 60 damage. So this thread is basically little more than venting and I'd take it with a grain of salt.
PS: just to clarify, yes, it was a bad match with poor strategy, leaving some to die unnecessarily, perhaps even selfishly. That can happen. I prefer to focus on the good matches.

That's not a "NASCAR SPECIALIST". That sounds more like a "Backstabbing Vulture".

What the game needs is a working matchmaker based on a player rating system that doesn't funnel everyone into T1. If the game filtered out the people that lose a fight in the MechLab or can't hit the CT on a Fafnir to save their life, tactics might matter at the higher end of the game. As it stands, you win by having less players that die without pulling their weight, NASCAR or no.
