FACTION PLAY PUBLIC TEST!

Starts: Friday, May 3rd 2:00 PM PDT / 9PM UTC

Ends: Monday, May 6th 10:00 AM PDT / 5PM UTC

REWARDS FOR TESTING:

We're giving you rewards for playing on the PTS!

Login to the PTS Client and you will be able to select 1 Reward pack!

Reward Packs include:

1 mech bay, 5 Million C-Bills, and a Faction Warhorn!

(You select the Faction)

Steps to getting your rewards

1: Download MWO PTS Through the Portal

2: Play on MWO PTS (follow the instruction is the post below)

3: Complete the Challenge on the PTS

4: WAIT TILL THE END OF THE EVENT!!!!!!!!

5: Return to https://mwomercs.com/profile/content

6: Select the Faction Reward pack to determine the Warhorn and Claim your Prize

7: Enjoy your Rewards on the Live Production Servers

2: Customer Support will not be able to change your rewards

Saying this again for reference, if you want more people to jump into the PTS perhaps consider the following:

People will likely focus on events on the main server first if those events involve requisites that they consider to be quite time-consuming. And also if the carrot you've put forward isn't enticing enough people, there's some magic rewards you could bring into the mix... GXP/GSP.

Remember the reaction to Solaris season rewards when they were announced for first season? The people dropping rank to get to the GXP? Turns out anything that can alleviate the skill grind is a hot commodity in MWO these days

Paul Inouye Can you enable us to switch sides between Marik and Steiner? sometimes one side has enough players and the other doesn't. It would be faster to have games done if you allow us to switch sides.

The note that says "challenges must be completed" can be ignored. You're going to get these rewards for logging in. More rewards if you complete a match which will be injected after PTS is complete.

Already not working...unable to get past the "select your role" screen. Doesn't matter if i click freelancer, loyalist or mercenary. Previous PTS when i picked merc it then presented me an option for which faction to contract to.

Edit :tried both accounts, no difference.

Also its NA prime time and there's insufficient players on the pts to manage a scout match, let alone an invasion match.

In the queue were 1 player for each side. Had to select a faction, not sure if the click on the loyalist/freelancer/merc screen before that was neccessary, but with it it worked. Going to bed now, not possible to test anything without other players.

We're presently in the Scouting phase.

There are only two three four five six seven of us in queue. If we could get ONE player we could get a drop.

I have cross-posted into Reddit to try to get more people playing.

There are two tabs on that screen. Make a selection on both.

It doesn't matter I believe.

If testing was the same as last week then after every PHASE it will automatically reset you and you can reselect etc.


I believe for match maker testing Freelancer and then selecting your side is the best option right now based on Paul's info for us when we tried in bulk last week.

I will do a stream of it tomorrow and try get a large pile of people. I'll post details later about it all.

There are two tabs on that screen. Make a selection on both.

Its Merc warfare I don't think it matters anymore.

You gotta switch to the other tab and select a house too. Then the Submit button unlocks.
Then you'll just suffer the lack of players, like everyone else

Just want to say that after log-on, the PTS client commits CTD. Trying to reset profile atm.

I meant to ask this last FP PTS- I'm probably blind, but I spent about 5-10 minutes looking for the "portal" to download the PTS. Is this the standalone launcher? If so, is there a way for Steam users to download the PTS?

Sadly, there isn't a possiblity to do so (which is a shame tbh, since only had to do is to add "PTS" in Beta tab in game properties in Steam).

On the standalone MWO Portal, it's on the left, like on the example provided by PGI (don't count the tournament client).
