Did you just started playing mwo recently? Did you miss the:
Skill tree system
New weapon tech
Rebilate oasis, and hibernal rift, and Solaris City
Testing out the new Match maker for faction play
Solaris
Rehaul of lrms, streaks, and ATMs
Rebalance of clan laser vomit
Added clan Nova cat, steel viper, and diamond shark
Competitive mod
Incursion mode
Rehaul of AMS
Support action like missle destroyed and uav detections increases match score.
Free loot boxes system
Import and export builds in mech lab
And more that I failed to add.
This is all that has changed since the last 2 years I played mwo. I think what pgi accomplished is impressive.

Ive been around MWO for more than 5 years son and many of the things you list were not done in the past year (new skill tree? may 2016 and made MWO much grindier than it used to be...yes you can customize your mech skills more than you used to but the old system with modules took less grind, cost less cbills, less exps and in some categories provided much bigger bonuses...is it really that much of an improvement? more of a lateral shift in my opinion). the new maps you talk about, the most recent one was in spring of 2018. Laser overhaul (3 months after what was hailed as the laser overhaul) was more of a nerf to high clan laser alpha than an improvement. Free loot boxes, you really feel that is "new content"? Support actions I think were introduced in 2017 and shortly after that clan Nova Cat, Steele Viper were added and Diamond Shark came a few months later. There have been no changes or overhaul to the quickplay match maker (other than supposedly reducing the tier variation limit from "2" to "1" but I still get T1 players on the opposite team as my T4 alt account as recently as this weekend...ive just given up reporting these things that aren't supposed to happen because PGI doesn't seem interested in doing anything about it). Competitive mode I'm pretty sure was also introduced in 2017. Yes, very true LRMs just got a boost (although PGI felt it was supposed to be a nerf, lol) and slight adjustments to AMS needed to be made to compensate for its "over effectiveness" (although for years prior it was hardly even worth it to take ams). Yes PGI is now testing things for faction play...but they are testing things that they have been promising to have done as far back as the first "faction rework" back in 2016 (but sadly all the reworks to date have fallen short of what they indicated faction play should be when it was first introduced as community warfare...were you here then? Remember that?). Honestly, I'm not trying to be down on PGI completely, I mean I am still (barely) here afterall. All I am trying to get at is (specially since PGI claims its a different department that creates mech packs than the team that balances (nerfs) thing and a different teams that create new maps and new game modes) that it is high time to introduce this months (or last months depending on your perspective) new mech(or mechs if they are infact planning something big). Believe it or not I actually look forward to finding out what the new mech of the month will be (still hoping for the Crusader to be introduced...yeah I know "unseen" and all) even if my monthly purchases have severely declined for the past year (partially due to the stagnation of matchmaker progress, no new original maps (hibernal is just canyon with snow and a few pathing/asset additions) and the only change in game modes has been the removal of escort). For years the first Tuesday of the month has typically been when PGI has announced the new mechs releasing for MC and Cbills...and introduced the new mech chassis available for pre-order.

... or they abandoning slowly this game. Like YUyahoo said: no relevant new features since a while. Ah, yes, small studio, all working on MW5, .... all we heard on the last Mechcon.

Which is kinda good
Imagine buying a mech pak and the servers get shut down a week later
Not happy customer

I don't see MWO shutting down once MW5 comes out.I believe MW5 will make MWO more popular. MW5 is only single player and co-op with friends. Shooting A.I. controlled mechs with friends is fun for only so long because A.I.s are flawed in some ways. Nothing can replicate its uniqueness in playing against another human player on MWO.

MWO still creates a revenue stream without PGI doing anything outside a new Mechhpack here and there and some tweaking of XML files. Unless MWO runs deep in the red financially there is no reason for PGI to shut it down.

then you need to clean your ears out, because they literally said "We're not going to abandon MWO moving forward" at MechCon. I was there.

*clipped*
TL:DR, SAF Bittervet.

all of that actually DID happen in the last two years.

Lemme guess, still pissy about your Kodiak being turned into an ACTUAL ASSAULT MECH, and not a ridiculous gun platform with the mobility of a medium?

I've been playing MWO since closed beta. ever since they kicked IGP to the curb, they've done a LOT to improve the game, and they're very dedicated to keeping the Mechwarrior series alive.

and I'll re-iterate they've REPEATEDLY said MW5 will be single player/Co-Op only, and MWO's the multiplayer platform.

I, for one, plan to play both, and PGI's got enough of my trust that tossing $20 at the occasional Mechpack, or pre-ordering MW5 is fine.

Clearly you have missed the point. I have never said that I think MWO will not be supported after MW5. I have not said that MWO hasn't done things in the past 2 years...but in the last year they haven't done as much as they have in the 2015-2017 timeframe (at least as far as new, original maps, new game modes and revisions to the quickplay/solo que matchmaker goes). I have in the past spent ridiculous amounts of money to support MWO and want to continue to support them, thats why I'm asking to know what this months (or last months, depending on how you look at it) mech pack will be. Those of us who support MWO shouldn't have to wait 5+ weeks (the last mech was announced in March) to know what the new mechpack will be (and yes my support/purchasing of mechpacks monthly has declined in the past 12 months because I feel PGI has drastically reduced their deliverance of new content...and by that I mean new original maps, new game modes and improvements to the match maker). The point is I can't "throw $20 (USD) at PGI for the occasional mechpack" if there is no new mechpack announced (for the past two months now by the looks of things, even though Russ announced a few weeks back he would appear on the Bombadil show to give us details on the new mechpack)

Noone is freaking out (well maybe you are). It was just a simple question, addressed to PGI actually. I'm not against MWO or PGI, I just want the ability to support a game I enjoy (and at the same time would like to see some progress on maps, game modes and the desperately needed retooling of the quickplay matchmaker).

Do you work for PGI? Because as I have said, my question was to PGI about when the new mech will be announced. No need to buy things I already own and thanks to the MW5 community pre-order I won't need MC for a very long time, but thank you for suggesting how I should spend my money. Asking (the developers of MWO) a question is not a sign of impatience, no need for you to over-react about a question that wasn't even directed towards you.
