I have to admit, that Awesome looks kind of scary with its three PPCs and red glowing cockpit.

Seriously? Am I the only person who thinks that design just looks bad? It looks like the Inbred-Baby of an "awesome" Awesome with some Gundam Japano Schoolgirl Mecha and general cuddlyness thrown in for good measure.
I don´t know what flying debri was thinking, but that chassis does not inspire Awe in me.

Kinda like the poor thing suffered from anorexia for the last 10 years :/

Awesome is a completely different mech than those before him. Those used saw hundreds of years in serveice and I think he wanted to make it clear that's a lot older design.

Well, i have to disagree.
if you consider the introduction years of the various chassis ingame, you can see already 3 Chassis which are older then the Awesome.

Awesome 2665

Catapult 2561
Hunchback 2572
Commando 2463
Centurion 2801
Atlas 2755
Dragon 2754
Jenner 2784


If you now calculate the mean value of all 7 chassis before him you get:
(2561+2572+2463+2801+2755+2754+2784) / 7= 2670

Compare that to the Awesomes 2665 and you will see it's directly in the middle of the introduction timeline, thus there is absolutely no reason why it should look different in terms of overall art style.
