So here's a glitch few people understand but everyone is affected by.
When any player fires Streak SRMs, and if the target dies before the missiles hit, the SRMs stop in the air and become invisible proximity mines that will cause team damage to any friendlies that walk near the corpse. These invisible team killers will linger in the air for a weird amount of time just waiting to kill a team mate, lower your score, and get you penalized.

SSRMs don't terminate when their target becomes invalid/dies.
SSRMs become invisible floating land mines that will kill your friends as long as about 15 seconds after they are fired.
SSRMs need a coding upgrade to disable their warheads if their target is killed before missile impact.

Ironically the glitch has been in the game since streaks were introduced (when closed beta opened) and everyone & pgi has known about it but they do nothing because it's not a mechpack I suppose.

all weapons have this problem. if you and a team mate are shooting a bad guy from opposite diretions. eventually one guy gets the kill and the other guy's alpha ghosts through and hits his team mate. its a simple matter of collision objects being removed from the game a little bit too early. it should stop shots until it hits the ground.

Hes not talking about the missiles passing through a dead enemy and hitting a friendly... they simply stop and float midair until someone runs into them

They're not invisible, people don't pay attention maybe, but the missiles are clearing hovering over the dead mech. They also have a timer after which the missiles explode, the timer just needs to be shortened to 2 seconds instead of 20 right now.
