Sync-droppers think it's ok and they'll find any excuse to justify it. Just like anybody else who cheats a system.

Here's what it boil down to:
  • Sync-Drop successful/Team Stacked - Sync-droppers have the Advantage
  • Sync-droppers are split equally - No Advantage/Neutral
  • Sync-drop fails - No Advantage/Neutral
This means that in 33% of games sync-droppers are unfairly biasing the game in their favour.

Now I'm sure some proud sync dropper is going to point out the fact that the odds aren't a 1/3 but no matter how you split the numbers it still grants an advantage to the sync-droppers when you look at the bigger picture. Even if we said its only 1 in 10 times they stack, that's still means they're playing with an unfair advantage 10% of the time.

Basically this all comes down to folks in large units being perceived, incorrectly or not, as better than the average potato, with no evidence being proffered.

I participate in unintentional sync drops pretty much every day I play qp. Doesn't mean there is some conspiracy about.

If I happen to see a mate on my side on Mining, we will go take top and shoot the bad guys.

If I happen to see a mate on my side on Grim, we will go to the buildings and shoot the bad guys.

Oh BTW, same as I would do with any competent player on my team whether we are affiliated or not.

TIL waiting for a Twitch bot to count down when to press the "Launch" button counts as an in-game advantage.

This is where the question of how big an advntage of sync-dropping presents comes into play;

There's a big difference between a couple of pugs who sync with a streamer, two friends who are chatting to each other via chat and a couple of eSpurters who have complimentary builds.

A couple of pugs who sync with a streamer are barely more co-ordinated than your regular pug group.

You and your mate play together well enough to know what tactics you'll use and back each other up, even if you're not actively playing together. If you guys were deliberately syncing you're giving yourselves an unfair advantage with that level of conditioned co-ordination.
