Currently there is nothing to indicate to players ingame that they just killed an enemy by headshot. No sound, text, or even C-Bill award for getting something that is rather rare. I feel a simple "+x C-Bills for Headshot" would a be very appreciated thing for players that enjoy going for them.

Why more C-Bills for a headshot? A kill is a kill regardless and you get rewarded for that any way.

Back to thine bridge troll . . . . !

Are you serious? I'm worried about taking such a statement as literal but here goes.

Yea you should be given extra cbills for doing something both hard and rare, but that's not even the main point. It could be just 100 cbills for all I care, the main purpose of this post is to point out the fact there is no indication you just pulled off a really hard shot. Every Shooter in this world has something to indicated to the player they just killed someone by head shot, be it a special sound, or a different icon in the kill feed.

I fail to see how asking MWO to meet the standard is trolling.

Pretty sure when I solo all m teammates that rare and hard as well.
Efficiently talking out a mech is the key, and when you create rewards for this kind of behavior a lot people will try to headshot and probably waste time for inefficient endless aiming. So no, do not reward this nonsense. We don't need "every other shooters" feature. And the truth is, not every other does have it, a lot do, but not every.

Insta-killing someone is as efficient as you can possible get, even shots that miss the head will just hit the CT, with dieing by CT being one of the most common ways to die anyway.

You're also making a huge assumption that will people ignore all other parts of the mech just to get head shots.

On top off all of that, you too are missing the main point of my post. The "reward" can be almost nonexistent, its the complete and total lack of acknowledgement that is the problem. Short of obsessively checking the Head shot achievement I am constantly having to wonder if just cleaned up someone's open CT or did I actually remove that guys cockpit from existence? With dual heavy gauss, plenty of head shots happen before the targeting even data comes in.

How is this basic thing a problem

"+100 Cbills for Head shot"

Boom problem solved and nobody is going out of their way for that as you are so unnecessarily worried about.

As I understand what you say, I'm not sure of it you already have 2 way to track you have done a headshot in game.

Killing a pretty fresh mech immediately from front (85%+) it's nearly sure you headshooted him (and you can double check with your headshot count for "guillotine" title)

And second when you press R paperdoll can give you the feedback quite easily.

The whole point if that you don't have to reward for it. So just a headshot kill that just replace the classical kill announcement for same amount of C-bills could be an easy way.

Now just did we really need it? It's just for ego, no real need ig Imo.

I've already addressed your first two statements in previous posts.

As for your last statement; We all play games to have fun in our own way, and having the game acknowledge I did something hard and rare is fun to me, what issue is there in letting me (and those few who care) have it?

If it is as simple a fix as I believe it to be, it should be no problem.
