As the title suggests, I don't really know how to go about making Inner Sphere Heavies good at energy boats. The problem is the ERMLs that IS have. They are simply bad for no reason, imo. At least the Clan version do more damage.
Now that I'm concentrating on the Warhammer 9D(S), I have sketched the following builds...
WHM-9D(S) HPPC
WHM-9D(S) LPL
WHM-9D(S) LL
Except for the LL build, the other two are going to have problems with dissipating heat to make the build effective. Am I wrong?

I am not a fan of poptarting... I like to use weapons that give me a decent range of effectiveness. And I feel like the IS laser boats are too hot.
My currently favourite Warhammers are the 6R and the Black Widow and I use roughly the same builds on both of them. 2 AC10s with 4MLs on the 6R, 2 LBX10s and 4 MLs on the BW. I like that I can shoot forever with them, when I am not being focused, due to the ballistics' low heat production. I had any number of games where flamer boats tried to lock me down and were quite unhappy when their flamers did not really do much against those builds.
Yes, the LBX10s spread, but they are awesome late game weapons if you live long enough... These are my Black Widow stats, for example:

BLACK WIDOW 54 33 21 1.57 72 29 2.48 29,507 128,317 05:50:31
