But when your stuff isn't selling, maybe it's time to think about *why* it's not selling...

Agreed. And maybe this isn't PGIs strong point.

I like that wording, though what I want for my quality of life is for PGI to recognize the room for improvement in matchmaking.
I keep hoping for PGI to revise "Player Skill Rating" to actually reflect my skill more, and be less of an XP accumulator.

I have more money than time, like most whales, so give me items that turn money into time. I already have a 6-month balance of premium time. Sell me more stuff like this. Give me cbill boosters. Give me xp boosters.

Time to reconsider the potentially P2W GSP packs?

Releasing the c-bill/XP medallions to be purchasable for MC would be a good idea. We get so much MC from events that its not unreasonable to set them at like 1000 MC each or something

Anyone got some recommendations. I know the Annihilator and Mad Cat II are good.

I'd personally take the mad cat, it's known to be good. honestly the MCII-1 and the MCII-DS are great mechs, and those are the cbill boosted ones. though a MCII-B(S) would be a better mech for cbill boost...

And that is one point that's crushing PGI's business model... They should never have given away MC
But they are learning, look at the Mech-Chella event... just SCs

Prophecy - we will be able to port MWO assests to MW5 for a small contribution.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there.

Events are the only reason I have any MC content at all. There are very few things about MWO that would get me to buy MC in the first place, and putting them behind a bigger pay wall would probably turn me away from the game altogether.

MW5 though is something I can get excited about. So excited that that's the reason I picked up MWO in the first place. Like other players pointed out...

That's the crux of the matter. Fortnite has a similar business model and they give away much less in game currency. Is that why they're successful? Nope -- it's the gameplay that hooks people and keeps them playing.

It also doesn't help that there are missed opportunities all over the game. The flashing monitors in the cockpit for example. Instead of a seizure inducing flashing texture how about a render to texture target? That lets you project an outside camera in the Mech's monitor and turns the blank space into something interesting.

Those are the little things that add up. If MWO had that kind of polish I'd happily show way more support.

I'm really looking forward to 5. I hope the devs do a good job... Just please, no more flashing monitors. I shut them off because they bother me, but now they just make me sad.

While the Annihilator's weapons, yes, are mostly waist high and it's a huge target, it is also a Durable SoB, and shines with weapons that don't exactly have to be particularly accurate (LBXs for instance). should also be noted, the Mean Baby hero variant does have neck hardpoints for the missiles, which are quite close to the head. Essentially, what you do with an Annihilator is lead a Linebreaking charge BECAUSE it draws fire, and other mechs in its way get out of its way (and right into the crosshairs of the Mechs following it).

Honestly, pretty much all of the CW mechs are solid in their respective weight classes and roles.

I'd like to spend an obscene amount on war horns. How about a war horn sale?

The Mad Cat Mk II is definitely worth investing in. Especially the B variant. It's pretty much meta at this point. Though there are some variations people use. The Arctic Wolf I can't stress enough how good that mech is. The Hero is worthless but all the other variants are definitely worth checking out.

Oh...and one last time...

Roll back Faction Play k thnx.

Every Mech capable of mounting at least one LB20 is far from worthless in my book. Posted Image

Can anyone confirm or deny whether the ultimate / collectors packs still come with the XP/C-Bill hanging / standing items as rewards? I'm assuming not given that they're grey'd out now and my assumption is that they were an early adopters reward.

If they were still available with the above packs I'd buy both ultimate in an instant.

It is not an early adopter award because I received them last year, when I bought 2 Ultimate packs. I don't know why they are grey NOW.

They're greyed out until you qualify for them, at which point they get some colour.
