I always liked the Mad Cat MKII. I do think it was a bit...odd that there needed to be so many different chassis named Mad Cat in BT instead of keeping the name tied to the original Timberwolf. Regardless though, it is a cool mech. This version highlighted seems especially deadly and nimble.

Yeah this variant/chassis is fantastic. High mounts, agile, fast (compared to other assaults), great profile/silhouette and when combined, creates a very dangerous mech.

I like your new format. Show us some more mech action, I allways like to see what other peoples are playing and their thoughts behind it.

I don't have the mech. Fight against it a lot. As for best mech I'd vote for the catapults. Torso twist like a boss and you can survive a lot.

This slot is already occupied and always will be
by the bringer of Boom and Splash,
the opener of tins
the blitz.
the Catapult

All the issues problems and bandaids are centered around the Catapult so to know what is and what was broken you need to look at this fine Mech

It's great that you are making videos for new players. Please give them a good skill tree so they don't feel gimped.

The operations tree is super important unless it's a pure Gauss boat like a Quad Gauss Kodiak or dual Heavy Gauss IS Mech. The operations tree increases your heat threshold and increases your dissipation.

Good video on the Madcat II-B. It is the best mech in the game. I do better in it than the Blood Asp

I used to enjoy meeting IIBs in Solaris vs my Scorch, I would alpha an arm and it would be GG.

The best 'Mech in the game is the Vapor Eagle, by the way. Specifically, the VGL 2.

Hi Phil,

Really enjoyed the video. I have the -IIB and with mine, I've had to max out the survivability tree because my arms tend to get taken off very quickly. I guess I'll have to work on my positioning. It's not too consistent for me yet either, I do 1000+ damage in some matches, 200 in others (ugh, the jams...). Again, I guess I'll have to work on my positioning.

Good hunting,
CFC Conky

I think the pre-nerf KDK-3 was better, but yeah, the MCII-B is my go to mech for the 500 match score challenges. Against average and below players its lethal, but if someone starts targeting those arms, you can be neutered pretty quick.

Isn't the best mech the deadliest?
in this case the MadCplt x2 (a poor fat copy of a poor copy) will never be able to get even close to the kills the Cplt did.

Absolutely agree. B is popular in FP due to the DPS vs IS even on hot maps. Blood Asp for the same reason but Death Strike is the best Mech in the game period.

I feel that what makes MCII-B the best is that, unlike other Clan mechs that have torso-twist, the high-mounted arm-based weapons with them lower-actuators nullify the otherwise harder target tracking if it was limited to the common clan torso-twisting.

Oh yeah, the hitbox is kinda okay too.

This. This is what puts the -B over the top for me. Usually lights are the bane of assaults, but the -B eats up lights like nothing. LAA and JJ make it the king.

The DS is super powerful, but the -B is good everywhere against everything.
