Hey guys. So I was wondering what are the best mech variants(both IS and Clan) for laser/gauss builds for mid range poke and/or brawling? Things to consider are the class of mech; assault, heavy, medium and light, the light and heavy variants of gauss, hit boxes and armor values for mechs, and finally mech quirks.

Assaults:
Deathstrike, Sleipnir and Annihilator for more lazors

Heavies:
NTG?, EBJ, TNS, WHM, MAD-BH2

Mediums:
VGL, HBK-IIC, ENF-4R?

Light: well no tons really but ADR/COU

I don't personally think many mechs with just a single gauss is good but IS mediums and any light can take just 1 (not including toll builds).

Plenty of approaches -- no, that doesn't mean it works well for the chassis.

Clan GR generally mixes with ERML and ERLLs, with a specific style of firing, which is you shoot the lasers and charge the Gauss in the middle of your burst, and fire the Gauss as the laser duration ends.

There's always someone willing to try something. (though I'm fond of the IS Gauss Raven).
