.. then I guess you have to be on the inside, right? ;)

no offense, but if you don't see the problems this game has, feel free to rule the nascar-queue.

Its just a game . Either you like it or not . Its also not your job to like it . It is PGI,s job to make you like it .

Why do you people make life soo complicated .

I was recently saddened when I saw a dude running 4 lbx 2's and an lrm 10 on a Sleipnir. Then he in died in the first 30 seconds of the match and I felt better again.

ultimately there are 2 kinds of people who play games. people who like games, and people who want the power fantasy of dominating the battlefield. unfortunately most "gamers" are the latter. but what good is a victory if you didn't earn it?

What do you consider earning a victory? Pretty sure this post is in regards to quick play and there you either contribute, carry, get carried, or do diddly. It's possible to win or lose in all of those situations and I don't see how your theory plays into that or what exactly it speaks to in quick play? Can you please elaborate because I may be wrong here.

when you take a bunch of pugs up against a 12 man in fp and win. honestly this is as close to a true victory as you can get in this game, aside from winning the mwowc.

it seems to me that qp is fixed to keep your win/loss as close to 1:1 as possible. if the game can predict the outcome of the match before it starts with some degree of accuracy higher than 50% then it can create matches in a way that makes as many players stats trend towards 1:1 as possible.

Yeah I thought there might be a cw dig there. Lots of us don't consider herding cats fun at all and working with a good, well coordinated team and beating another team of similar skill is far more satisfying. Most of you pugs do not get to see these matches or appreciate their existence. A good deal of also don't consider gen rushing or getting pugs on a full cap game to be much of a win either.

And quick play is absolutely not fixed to keep people close to 1:1 which is why people have been bothered by PGI's implementation of MM and PSR. There are tons of players who play yolo queue only and have such an influence that they have a wlr over 2.

ive been in some team vs team games and prefer pugging. any fp match though is better than your run of the mill qp nascar faire.

anyway you are trying to control 24 things with one knob so you cant do perfect 1:1 for everyone. high skilled and even low skilled players are outliers and will skew the actual results. i think they are mostly aiming for the center of the bell curve.

Honestly I think they're phoning it in at this point. Just running out the clock. Even presenting their new cash cow seemed like the most lackluster, low effort, attempt at presentation I've ever seen from a 'game company'. Or maybe I have blinders on and that's just Russ's speed for everything thus far. FP was just basically a power point presentation. But I wouldn't be surprised if they cash out after not getting their license renewed.

Yes it makes sense that the aim should be in the middle of the curve, thing is it's implementation is waaaaay off. The results are certainly skewed when you don't get a middle pushing everyone into tier one. I am sure you can appreciate this.

There are two kinds of people that play MMOs, those who want the social experience, and those who want the single player experience. Unfortunately most are the latter.

thats a completely different problem and soon to be rectified by mw5.

i could live without the social interaction and prefer to let the guns do the talking. when i want to say "everyone shoot this guy" i shoot the guy. when i want to say "there is an enemy over there", i shoot the enemy over there. and when i want to say "oh **** they are pushing hard", i usually spam the r button and pop a uav if i have one while shooting anything i can. you can use words, but that just distracts me from shooting things. someone wants to call it fine, i can work with that. hell ive even been known to call targets once in a blue moon when i get a good deal on blow/speed.

end of the day humans are better ai than ai is and i dont really expect mw5 to be anything more than a turkey shoot. but its going to draw off enough of a population to put a few more nails in the mwo coffin.

also this isnt an mmo, its an arena shooter. pgi tries to hide it under ui, but if it quacks like a duck...
i have no problem with mwo being an arena shooter. it would be better off with more arena shooter features than mmo features. move everything to custom games with a lobby browser and opens up a lot of options to diversify the game. "24/7 stock urban mechs solaris city!"
