also, the team doesnt win cause they dont have any tactcal genius trying to stop the nascar and making the team turn back, they maybe win because they have faster mechs overall, or just a more aggressive spirit, or just some well placed CT shot when your team spray'n'pray. you cant just say the nascar is always won by the team dont questionning it. If so, try it with a full anhilator/dwf

as i stated above, nascar as other tactics can work and can not work. you have to adapt and thats what is not happening in solo queue. would you keep trading long range if you had one or two snipers vs six or more ? no you would not, you would adapt. this is the same with nascar.

It really depends, speed is a small factor imo, you will typically lose engagements if you don’t nascar in to cover, or nascar out of cover in to the open, people still shoot each other across the map.

Unfortunately, it's also a feature of trying to out-flank the enemy as well as a team trying to get back in position after chasing the proverbial squirrel. If there's one thing playing in the potato leagues has taught anyone that's been playing more than 10 minutes it's that you don't walk in front of your teammates...they're just as horrible at holding fire as you are.

The faster you are, the more guys you get on their slowest targets. Can't blame anyone for going after low hanging fruit.

Let this be a thread where we have a safespace to revel in the glories and wonderment that is the left turning meta. This is the game we have after all and not the game so many different fragmented groups want.

So what are the best builds for this environment that you find effective? What are the best routes on given maps? When is best to go right instead of left...turning it into Aussie Nascar I suppose?

Come on folks what can we do to here to show the haters, what's what and convince people to leave that 40khp assault back in the mechbay where it belongs.

My lct with double ams loves nascar as does my lct set up to be nothing but sensors and uav farmer. Did you know there a lot of "ramps" on the map going locust speed? Those damed huge hit boxes on the walls leg my car so much! And that freekin red shell! I hate that red shell! Blue is better but then I always end up getting that lame banana power up.

Just had a really great round was even.. was a great fight, we didnt nascar.. the comms where hot

infomation was flowing....

dude was like im going around for another lap... (*the team was not rotaing)

end of the match.. im alive.. he is alive.. we won.. hes like i only got 4 laps...

lol i almost spit my beer out... great game

Absolutely people are aware of the problem.

That's why I scream 'gentleman start your engines' before every match to let those camping types know, it's probably going to be a bad day for them. Sure one out of a thousand games that dude in the corner with his Supernova does great, I just hate those odds though.

None of that stuff should be anywhere near an MWO installation, unless dude also enjoys F1 simulators.

Don't complicate things, A key is all you need for success.

id be cool with mandatory joysticks. it might feel like a giant robot simulator again.

and dont dis throttle and pedals. you know how much damage you can do if you don't have to hold down w to go fast? its sort of like this:

Too bad I can't post Sick of You to the folks insisting on bringing slow mechs despite having no idea what to do with them or where to go.

the video for vdm was surprisingly clean for gwar. i mostly like that its a wacky races parody.

Why can't we have proper nascar implemented in MWO?

Solaris 7: Locust/Flea Death Racing
No weapons.
No armor.
All engine.

All matches should be determined by which team got around the track more times, regardless of kill count, damage, conquest tickets, base buildings destroyed, bases captured, or time in the domination circle.

I love this idea.

And in a related note the last couple of nights the queue has been full of lights and mediums with it not uncommon to see the launch button suggest assaults (don't do it) to reduce wait times.

Therefore this thread has been a resounding success.

I'd like to thank all of you that helped make this dream into a reality.

I sorta lost my enjoyment of the band after my ex banged both of the singers. (Brockie before the divorce, the new guy after)
