exactly.

it also doesn't seem to be community editable, which is kind of the whole point of a wiki. might be easier if they just let the community update it and just moderate the updates.

Great weapon rebalance I'm sure they will break a few system and make them worthless

The IS SPL at 4 damage would be pretty freaking good, actually (it does 3.5 right now so that is a buff).

IS MPL could be manageable at 4 damage...if they shot really fast and had very low heat like a laser machine gun.

I'm fine with the changing things as long as they don't break things that don't need to be broken or make a weapon system better. But I have this strange feeling they will just be pulling out nerf hammer and go crazy

Your strange feeling is based on the precedent that our Balancing Overlords™ have set in the past.

As long as my RAC/2, MRMs, ERMLs, and CERPPCs remain relatively unscathed I'll be fine.

Right now most weapons system are in pretty good spot and if RAC/2, MRMs, ERMLs, and CERPPCs are only good weapon systems why not just remove useless one I HATE redundant things in games why is it even there then BAD game design

I wasn't listing those as the only good weapons. They're just my favorite weapons that make up like 90% or more of my builds. There are more good weapons than just those few items.

About to say weapon balance is not half bad right but could use a look I just hope they don't break anything. Because part fun of this game for me in mech lab and and using all it has to make builds I like options and like to play everything. I have fun in dakka builds,laser builds missile builds just hope my options don't get limited

You would think after 7+ years the weapons systems would finally be balanced by now. We were able to land on the moon in 9 years. You would think balancing a game would be far simpler.

id love to see 5-class autocannons get some love. the spread on lb5s especially needs to come down a bit. and both ac5s are almost never used unless boated (like buff cd and then lower the gh threshold so its stronger in smaller numbers without making it op when boated).

2 points of splash on the snppc or a heat reduction. i favor the splash for the sawed off shotgun feel.
lower cd on lppc.

allow 3 lgauss to charge simultaneously.

buff small lasers.

buff is hmg a bit.

The AC/5 is definitely one of the most overrated weapons in the game. I've been saying that it was mediocre ever since it got its cooldown and velocity nerfed way back when it was meta with PPCs.

If I have 8 tons to spend on an IS ballistic weapon, I'm gonna mount a RAC/2 without hesitation. Its one and only drawback is lack of PPFLD, but it has so many other strengths that it hardly matters.

I'm not really sure which weapon I'd like to see buffed the most. I have lots of ideas for either little nudge tweaks or full reworks, but beyond that I dunno.

I guess the RAC/5, because it's weird seeing the RAC/2 poop all over it so hard. Reduce the heat to somewhere between 3.0-3.5 HPS, reduce spread a bit, reduce jamming rate. Currently it is powerful up close but it melts the user just as quickly as it melts the enemy and it's very unwieldy. And of course nudge up the ammo per ton to roughly equal that of the RAC/2 (315 damage per ton of ammo is so juicy).

Actually on that note I'd like more ammo per ton across the board. Part of why I have such a strong fetish for MRMs and RAC/2s is their incredible ammo efficiency.

That one of the best things about MRM you can get by with three or four tons for multiple launchers. Ballistics weapons you need two too three tons per gun or you are going to run out ammo before end of the fight

I'd like to see some changes to clan autocannons.. At the moment they are basically Ultra autocannons that don't jam.. why take UACs when ACs work identically...

That dose make standard Clan canons pretty redundant. Main reason to take them now are no jamming and heat because double tap also make them hotter to use

if anything happens to the racs i think its a small reduction in the spin up delay. just make the 5 where the 2 is and give the 2 a tiny buff. with the amount of heat they spew out i think the delay is just insult to injury.
