It's literally one of the only mechs in the game that has almost zero quirks.
it has marginally better firepower than the ACH,
drives like a brick and crumples hard.

I've only got the Inc-4, but it has amazing hardpoints and tears stuff up. Maybe try running with the - 4?

Incubus-4 is a beast, and worthy of comp play (and EmP has used in comp play) I think you have mechlab problems

He's not lying, the 4 has 6 shoulder mounted energy. It's a hill humping monster.

Someone called it a "Baby Battlemaster" because of those sweet mounts, and it's a pretty accurate assessment.

A lot of Clan mechs have no quirks. The Incubus excels are skirmishing at mid-range, if you run in with SPLs and MGs in something as big and flimsy as the Incubus you kind of deserve to die.

I run my INC-1 with 3 MPLs and 4 HMGs and it works fine, as like any light mech working to assist a Heavy or Assault, or actively hunt down and leg lights.

My point is that it isn't a Commando or Piranha, it can't strafe through a team.

Well thanks for being so informative...

I quite enjoy mine thank you. It's locust fast, and carries better weapons. Or did you forget to put the bigger engine in it?

Also lets not forget, it's a 30 ton clan Wasp. So it's sexy as fudge.

When the Incubus went up for C-Bills I looked through them and the obvious high laser mount one was the only one that stood out. I played it a few times, it was ok, but not very exciting, like this story.

The Incubus needs to shrinkubus. Just a little. It suffers from 35-tonner bloat, but it's only a 30-tonner.

The energy-heavy INC-4 is, for what it's worth, a better laserpeeker than the Purifier is for the same tonnage (more high mounts, clustered tighter, and the cockpit is right up top with the hardpoints so it has to expose less), especially if you're not married to being turbofast. I should probably get one at some point. I keep recommending it every time it comes up. It can be good, with the right build.

But... I do not use the right build. Don't judge me. None of the other Clan lights can run a high-mounted boomstick (except the Fury, and that thing's so terribad I don't think it even counts as a 'Mech right now), and I am a hopeless AC20 addict. It is the yin to my AC20 Raven's yang.

But hey, why should you settle for only one dumb troll build, when you can have two? UAC two, that is! Nyuk nyuk nyuk!

Disclaimer: Don't. Just don't.

...but it's so much fun.

I mean sure, in a vacuum (comp) the -4 offers 'dem sweet 'mini' battlemaster hardpoints.
In rando quickplay the mech can be found wanting.
Not entirely sure how it's more viable then the jav or the wolf tho. Oh... duh... vacuum.

In rando quick play you have rando players of rando skill, running rando builds set up with rando skill tree understanding, using rando tactics.

If anything a vacuum of similarly skilled players with around or close to the same knowledge is a pretty good vacuum to judge things on.

Idk what holding op back on the INC but I play through most of mine and so far my most successful light so far. It agility is one of the best in the clan light line up and beside the 4 I have been able to easily rock the 1 2 3 and sabre with no problem. I even able to hold my own in knife fighys with other lights and keep assaults and heavies on their toes.

Also INC did got a agility buff a while ago, but if another buff is needed, I say give it a 5-6% structure bonus to the legs. But overall the mech is good.

The high mounts. The simple solution is to not overly expose and not act like you're quirked to medium levels of armour.
