Sorry for this (maybe stupid) question but when I preordered MW5 they talked about steam.
Now I read about Epic store?

I am not hardcore against all those new stores and launchers but I am not willing to use them.
Gaming is a too minor hobby nowadays for me to accept those spyware-launcher.

Did they offer a refund in this case?

Nah mate, pretty sure it's coming out on steam. There hasn't been any threads saying anything about Epic lately.

You have to create an account to redeem the key to download the game. Thats what that exclusivity is for. But you can refund until september i think, better check in the faq on the mw5 site.

No it's gonna be Epic exclusive for a year. Deal has already been made.

You sure? If that was true, it seems like the kind of thing they would make an announcement, with a 33 page discussion thread, plus every single thread in general discussion would be about it, plus every thread on the MWO on reddit would be about it, plus every streamer would talk about it, plus every major game news source would have an article about it.

Russ said, that you can download, and then uninstall Epic, and run MW5 alone. Do not need Epic, but the problem is you have made an account in Epic to get the file. Not sure if you can delete your account from Epic after downloading.

Ye, could be problematic anytime you have trouble concerning your account. And making an account every time you want to buy a game afterwards sounds kinda inconvinient.

No. You can catch it in the bargain bin at Steam a year after its release, and also after a year of listening to all these Epic defenders whining that they want their money back because the game will probably release as a "minimally-viable product."
