Look on the bright side, Russ pushing MW5 back means they will keep the mwo server running just that much longer.

Sure you might not be able to find a match on the off times but the prime time weekends will still be fu....... games.

MW5 is only half a game as it is. It lacks any and all competitive options. So MWO isn't going anywhere.

Or you can extract the mechs and use them for whatever. Technically you paid for them if you bought them in a mech pack. Just don't be dumb trying to pass the models/textures of them off as your own work or try and make money by using them. That'll get you in big trouble. Fan art ok for money not ok.

No, it's 4 month longer MWO will stagnate in the maintenance mode.

Though to be honest, even after MW5 release, i doubt MWO will receive any love. If PGI was capable, it would be done years ago. I think PGI is creatively and morally burned out, and is no longer willing to develop MWO.
Very much hope i'm wrong here.

ahhhh..... You understand they're not making any money off mwo anymore right? Russ said , Mech packs are not selling why would they keep mwo once mw5 sales stop?

They're making plenty of money from MWO.

I'm not shilling for them, I don't even really like them, but damn that was stupid PR.

All dude was really trying to say is the revenue can't support two things, only the one.

Off what, Mc sales? They're handing mc out like candy now. What Russ said, was Mech packs don't have a good return and his reasoning is people have too many mechs.

I don't believe for a second they don't make enough money on mechpacks to support MWO alone.

I do believe that mechpacks aren't going to fund the develop of one game and the maintenance for another.

So they stopped making mechpacks because it was making them too much money and Russ is lying about not making money off mech packs?

They stopped making mech packs because it doesn't make up for the use of resources they obviously needed to allocate to the incomplete project they're trying to shove out the door which only uses one of the two tech bases they've implemented.

I'm not exactly reaching here.

Time will tell, only few months away they will be done with mw5 and if they don't start making mech packs every month we will know.

FWIW; if this game sticks around in its current iteration I expect them to monetize it in some other way.

I completely disagree.

PGI management never had even a spark of creativity or morality!

Thank you ladies and gentlemen. If you liked tonight's performance, please tell your friends. Come say hi at the merchandise counter as you leave the theatre.

They made a cool cockpit for the Urbie. And the lightbars for K9.
I guess it's where it all went Posted Image

But yes, jokes aside, creativity is not PGI's strongest side. Nor competence.
It was clear to me ever since UI 2.0

Wow. Almost like Mech-Packs is a mistake, and what they should have been is developing the game at the base level.

You know how sparklers have that thinner bit down by the bare wire that fizzles and pops lazily until it finally just embers and smokes for a few seconds, then dies? We're right there, about a 1/4 inch from bare wire....
