I am usually a ppc kinda guy, I gave my 4 er ppc novacat a spin at lrm 90.......

Holy sheeeet , didn’t realise it is this easy to do 1000+ damage.

All spread out of course, but yah, if you are focusing your lrm son the main group with multiple ams umbrella and not bring your own tag laser+ max target retention + high mount mobility chassis boat en mass......

You are doing it wrong.

Lrm s boat leading the push works, you could get the brawl rolling, give courage to your cowardly brawlers, and hang back once your armor is all red and the brawl is happening, and given you are at the front means no enemy mech can backstab you. You can also ditch backup weapons as any enemies getting close will get eaten alive by your teammates. Your lrm will suppress and break their line.

If you are hanging back as lrmboat at first you are doing it wrong

It's based on Battle-tech so removing a major weapon system from the game just silly. And LRM are only dangerous if you're fool and don't have counters or don't know how to avoid them

That the dumbest augment I ever heard its based on it and you're adapting. LRM are a major weapon system. Let just cut out all the stuff people don't like to suit there tastes
Sooooo.... You're not pissing and moaning about not having:

LAMs
Quad 'mechs
Tanks/vehicles
Infantry
Aeromechs
Vibrabombs
360 degree viewing angle
Arm flip
MAD sensors
Multiple ammunition types for certain weapons
Heat Affects Table
Physical Attacks
Knock downs
etc.
etc.
etc.

ALL of the above were in BT, in the current time line, and yet we don't have them.

Why?

Discounting the stuff that is supposedly not possible with the craptastic Cryengine, and the other stuff that is just "too hard" for PGI to put in, most of what is NOT in the game is because it wouldn't be good for a FIRST PERSON PvP MMOG game.

Computer guided ANYTHING in a PvP game is dumb, you're providing 'borrowed skill' where wins and losses should be solely determined by how well the individual player can manipulate his entire character.

This is about as much mech simulator as Super Mario Brothers is a plumber simulator.

It's a game are trying to simulate a mech so yes a simulation. Not all simulations have to go 110% full sim there are varying degrees. I use to love the https://en.wikipedia...rs:_TIE_Fighter old LucasArts space sims. They are a nice sweet spot of simmy with out being full blow sims. So yes a simulation

So... You have no actual counter point, your fallback is to get personal and try and hurt my feelings?

Ok then, back at you scrub, 'git gud'...

Y'know, I might take you more seriously if you were posting with correct spelling and grammar.

I find it very laughable that you'd take pride at being "gud" with computer guided weapons.

But hey, if your skill tops out at hiding and screaming, "Hold locks" every 15 seconds while putting a little circle in a big square, waiting for a big circle, then mashing a button... You go girl, you go!!!

Funny you compare MWO to a 1994 game. Ironic even.

Sorry, but no. I've suffered with dyslexia for my entire life.

All it requires is a bit of extra effort to present yourself intelligibly.

Yep. I'm old enough it wasn't diagnosed until I was a junior in highschool. Until that point they though my 'bad writing' and 'miserable' spelling was because I am left handed and, at the time, overly hyperactive.

Once diagnosed a plan was setup, I was tested with shaded glasses and paper (light purple seemed to help the most for me), and then I was setup with intensive tutoring and 'tools training'.

Again, effort was expended to overcome the issue, and with that effort came the habit to at least attempt to spell as correctly as possible and to keep my grammar intelligible.

It's a matter of not being lazy or arrogantly ignorant...

Not lazy just when I read stuff it looks right to me when it's not. I have to proofread stuff a few sometimes to get it right

Exactly. One of the first 'tools' I was taught:

Proof read. In fact, proof read OUT LOUD. Write it like you'd want to actually speak it.

That's the thing sometimes I read something out loud and it comes out wrong too. I will move words around sometimes
