what do you people think about occasional tonnage change for dropdecks, same amount for both sides, just to shuffle the game a bit?
I personally think it might be interesting. Your thought gents?

Think it is a good idea and will spiced up the game play
, however it usually ends up with people complaining about the balance.
Still .. would love to try it.

Maybe the lighter drops could be called 'Scouting'?

Few years ago I hoped some active tonnage changes to dropdecks for duration of an event or so. Like a scouting weekend with 150t and a steiner recap with 400t. Just for a weekend or so, if it doesnt work or feel good, regular schedule would resume next week.
Would be stupid easy way to put some life into fwcwfapfapfap.. Perhaps it was too easy fix and pgi skipped that idea..

400 in general would be a way to go, since the object is obviously to make the mode unplayable. Four 100 ton LRM boats would be an awesome way to go.

The idea was suggested multiple times, but so far PGI ignores it.

I'm curious to see if players would bring 4 assaults every time, including to conquest.
You bet they would

Oooooh, now that's an idea. How about 400 for IS and 200 for Clan....although that might be a bit much. How about 100-150?

2 high alpha ebons, a high alpha hunchie and a PIR.
130 +50 +20.
The fact a high alpha ebon is more dangerous than almost any IS mech at 65 tons is why clans will always be superior to is.

Works great against potatoes, not very good against good players, shielding is just not a thing with the ebon

You should know better than most haze, high alpha ebons dont farm, they kill. If you want farm you take clan Dakka.

that's not the point, they just die very easily. Don't get me wrong, ebons are some of my favorite mechs to play (and it looks freaking cool), the vertical poke profile is really good, but when playing against anyone competent it just loses the CT way too quickly
