I know some of you have pointed out a few builds for other mechs already. I thought I'd get some final thoughts from you guys anyway.

3 LPL Charger 1A1

4 LPL Charger 1A1

5 ERLL Charger 1A1

5 LPL Battlemaster 1G

5 ERLL Battlemaster 1G
(Not quite sure how to manage heat when doing 6 ERLL on an IS mech)

5 ERLL MAD IIC with STD engine
(Vx had posted this build already but I armoured up some more and put a MK4 TC instead of MK5 but ideally I want to get the 6ERLL going after some time)

If you want to run pulse vomit on a Charger use the 3K, the 1A1 is well quirked for normal lasers and 4-5 LLs works well on it.

BLR-1G, imho if you use 5x erll, put a bigger computer in it. Like mk V or something. If not then use 6x erll, and if tonnage seems troublesome use xl engines.

FP is only place to properly use one of those anyway, so using one or two xl assaults is not that bad. Just dont expose too much and use your range when possible. XL engine assaults teach proper trading and tanking anyway .. Posted Image .. and those can run a bit hot, but the point is not to brawl in them.

Yeah, I'm building towards two IS FW decks and also towards a Clan deck aimed at Laser vomit. The Pulse lasers on some of those builds are for leveling them up in QP. I intend to switch to ERLLs when doing FW.

Take a look at the Banshee 3M. Large engine, LPL and MPL. It's one of the few assaults (only?) that work in QP for me.

Just run standard LL boating then. Why grind with a build that will function different to the final product?

LPL have shorter Cooldown and Duration while having comparable heat. The thing is, they do 10 damage each. You can quickly burst some damage out on the Battlemaster with them in QP. And with the TC, quirks and Range nodes, you can push the optimal range of those LPL to close to 450+m.

3FB does it with ECM. No quirks, but "not the first thing to get shot" is always a nice bonus for a high-facetime build.

Or keep the 4N, but drop to a tcomp 1 and 300LFE for more sinks.

But yeah, hex large blimp is always good clean fun.

Well my opinion, if you are gonna Vomit, look good Vomiting. So I would use none of those mechs both are hideous! *said with a Fashion Designer voice*

Best Laser Vomit mech, P-Ronna.

I prefer quirking it out but ECM is nice too both good

To skill up the BLR-1G for faction, think I ran it with 3LPL, 4ERML, 20 DHS, LFE350. LPL and ERML sync up nicely for range, and you have a decent speed to not be left behind by the nascar. Alpha is still the same as 5LPL, but you'll be faster and have more cooling.

Just an idea.

1G properly built for Faction is not a LPL boat but a 5xERLL boat with a Targeting Computer pushing range to ~1.8 km.

I'm still unsure about the Charger. I kind of like the armour quirks and it might work well on faster engagements but overall, I'm still unsure.

For LPL brawling in a BLR i would choose the 2C cause ist tankier.

Hmmm... I don't know. That's just Structure quirks while the 1G has some Arm armour quirks along with important Energy quirks as well. Plus the 1G has 3 Energy hardpoints each in the side torsos, making it viable for 6 ERLL that I want to put on it after leveling it up.

The 1G gets some extra armor in the arms, but I'd hardly consider that a lifesaver. Regarding the 2C, yes it's only structure, but in FW waves 1 and 2 you're not exactly going to run into a lot of machine guns.

Well, I'll buy the 2C the next time there's a sale or when I get enough C-bills 'cause I'm leveling too many mechs and the skill points cost a lot. But thanks for that. I'll pick up the 2C and was also eyeing the Stalker.
