I have lots of these already but I don't have a Grey Death
I will pick that up...trying to decide if an AC10 and 2xsrm4 or AC10 4 med lasers are better

Also will pick up a Vulcan because I don't have one and they seem pretty powerful

The viper hero looks interesting. Some what fast with the best acel and decel quirks out of the vipers. One of the pheonix hawks maybe. Since I have most the light heroes med heroes I could start playing.

the viper is one of those mechs .. more than 'meh' on paper, but a blast to pilot. under the right cirumstances, it 'just clicks'. fun mech. don't listen to the guys that cry about it, try it yourself.
the one thing I miss on my viper: a bolt-on cape, as I fly through the air, greeting the dropship pilot in scouting on a regular basis (or used to)

I'm looking at Grey Death with AC10 + MRM30.

Vulcan 5T is amazing. It is obscenely powerful.

It is a fun Mech but the average player won't do well in it. The viper is extremely dependent on superior positioning and the average "no nascar!"-crowd is not good enough. (Just like the average nascar-junkie will find this Mech to be undergunned when it comes to enemy contact).

Due to the low offensive power you need to shoot all the time to make a noticeable impact, be at the right position all the time, and that is hard even for a dedicated cavalry jock like me.

The average player would do much better in a Crab, but somehow that Mech is apparently too boring for the cool kids. Shame, it is a way to fun and success even while still learning the game.

That is actually a really good one. If it were not limited by the terrible Uziel-geometry it would be meta af. Mount 6xMPL and be happy.

I bought the Assassin 21, Vulcan 5T and the Blackjack 3. I didn't buy any heroes this time around 'cause the chassis was just bad compared to what the regular variants could do here. Well, maybe the Bloodlust. But I decided to spend MC on Mech Bays instead.

even future mech releases look bleak. with 4 bays left to get the last 3 mechs when they come out for cbills and a spare (maybe a second rifleman iic). i also don't think there are any heroes left that i still want.

In case MCs are a concern i can recommend the Trebuchet 7M as a very strong poor man's IV-4 MRM60 Bomber if you are fine with an XL engine.

Due to the same 20% cooldown quirk, additional 20% heat gen + 10% velocity quirks, higher max speed and more efficient JJ you have much more options to customize the build to your taste than in an IV-4. Only drawside compared to the big brother is survivability due to less armor, XL engine and twist-agility. But if you play the Treb a bit more from second line instead of brawling all day long it should perform similar to the IV-4.

I even bought a Hellspawn just so I could have something to play/level up

turned out at the end (of leveling it up) it is one of the few Mechs I actually liked

most Mechs are a nightmare to play and or level up and at the end you either want to throw your PC out the window,
uninstall the game or shoot yourself

I do the mini IV-4 thing with Griffins and Wolverines. Seems to work okay.
