[Paladin IIC]

Kinda stupid to run a FP event that expires the same day as long awaited FP changes occur. Almost as bad as your PR campaign for MW5.

forgive me for asking again if this has been answered, is there a way to just pick a side and queue for the very next game happening right now, say for example the queue is 11/12 and i'd like to fill the spot and create a game, is there any way to do be that guy and still be earning LP?

Given their record of "quality" and "bug free" patches it's maybe wiser the event is out of the way before they **** around with it.

As it presently stands, you can select which faction you would like to earn LP towards via the "Faction Details" section, and pledge loyalty to them for the purposes of earning LP and having an icon next to your name (for example, I'm closest to another 'mech bay with Kurita, at the moment). This is independent of selecting who you're fighting for in any particular "conflict". I'm unsure if selecting "freelancer" for your "role" has an effect on that, however.

After tomorrow's patch, you can still fight for any faction and earn LP towards your selected faction, as before, but the amounts earned will be weighted. For example: I'm currently pledged to Kurita. In a Ghost Bear vs Wolf scenario, I would earn 100% of the current LP (if I'm understanding correctly) fighting for either side. In the case of Ghost Bear vs FRR, I would earn 80% of the current LP rates fighting for Ghost Bear, and 100% fighting for Rasalhague. In the case of Kurita vs anybody, I can currently fight against Kurita. I believe they're patching that out, so you can't fight against your faction, anymore. If I fight directly FOR Kurita, in a Kurita vs Davion fight, for example, I would earn 120% of the normal LP towards Kurita.

Someone double-check me and make sure I'm understanding the patch notes correctly, though.

Not quite correct, Skymaster, as I understand it, being loyal to an Inner Sphere house would prevent you from joining a conflict Clan vs IS on the clan side.

I would like to patch the game. But there is no option to do so via the launcher (or steam). Can't finish the events now.

Same here. Game says my Client is out of Date yet no Patch Option. Trying the Repair Tool didn't help either.

yup dito no patch button(stand alone client) seems that no one can play MWO right now.....waiting for Info ... a usual.....^^ waiting.....waiting...uh uh some info? damn nope...waiting...still waiting
