So I attempt to log into the game after months, and it keeps disconnecting me?

WTF?

I get error code 63 to start, then I restart the client, get in, only to be booted out seconds later several times in a row?

This did not happen prior to the last patch..

Can we please fix this?

no issues here and have been logged in for several hours...If there was something immediately on PGI end the forums would have more than one or two posters.

Reboot modem/router. Do the following to Flush/reset your Net connection... Then if that does not help utilize VPN to connect, in that the issue may be beyond PGI and your immediate reach, at least VPN may help in bypassing problematic router systems.

That you were able to connect using a VPN means there is an issue somewhere between your computer and the servers (primarily gaming servers). When you are disconnected, do you go back to the front end or do you have to relog back into the front end? There are two main servers, the authorization server (mechlab, etc) and the game servers (regional).

Essentially, VPN is covering your tracks (hiding the packet types and volume) while also rerouting your pathway from your system, through your ISP to the net (several jumps) to PGI ISP then the servers.

Flush/reset your Net connection..

Navigate to the desktop. (From Home, tap or click the Desktop tile).
Right-click the Start button (the Windows logo in the lower-left).
Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
When asked whether to allow Command Prompt to make changes to your computer, select Yes.

Note: If you are asked for an administrative login, you will need to contact your system administrator.
Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.
Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.
Restart the computer.

Yesterday evening I played maybe 4 FP matches. I don't think I saw any disconnect.

If the OP were to chipped a nail, he would try to figure out a way to blame it on PGI... Posted Image

It's happened to me a bunch this month. Seems like every night I get some weird lag or disconnect and I come back to a dead mech. So fun.

I have been seeing a lot of it. Hasn't happened to me since the August patch (had a spate of disconnects after that, then it went away), but seeing multiple disconnects once every 5-6 games.

Wonder if it has something to do with interaction of latest windows updates with PGI software.

I still have problems connecting.

I restarted the rooter, but today again it's not working..

Something strange is going on here definitely..

All my other internet activity, including live steaming and IPTV is fine..

Did you do anything else other that restart the router? Did you flushdns? Tried VPN (this is more for troubleshooting step, to see if by redirecting the path taken, may be able to bypass the problematic router systems)? Your other services are not necessarily following the same routes to PGI servers (authentication server & game servers) that your other services are taking.

I figured out that if I restart my rounter, the problem goes away for that session, but then if I reboot, it happens again..

I played yesterday as-is for as long as it was working.. will be handling this after my 5 day trip that is coming up..

This "disconnected from server" crap has been happening to my account for a week now. Can not stay logged in for even 5 minutes of a match before being dumped to the mechlab screen.

Has anyone found a work-around or a reason why this is happening?
Thanks.

This is most likely an issue with your connectivity itself, not with the game servers/authentication server. If it were PGI servers, there would be a ton of more threads actually started instead of ya reawaking one up from 2019, though it does have several troubleshooting steps listed in it.

The other thing is that you have not stated if you have actually tried anything/everything listed in this thread.
  • And if on cable, have you also check that all of the cable connections have not come loose?
  • Other steps listed, reboot router/modem, change DNS Server Address from default/ISP?
  • Other steps listed.
  • Also, is it on a specific game server (region drop) or all?
And if a mod reads this, suggest moving but not closing this thread to the Workaround subforum.

one thing i learned about network admin over the last decade, is that it is always dns. swap dns servers, flush your cache, etc.
