Every 500 damage done = 1 LB (not limited to 1 per match). This will incentivize people to play FW (probably). I think this will be a decent challenge and those who get sick and tired of LRM-queue 'cause "Damage done" is a requirement, can come to FW.

Did you not look at damages during the last FW event ? I routinely saw a quarter of the players (of 24) each match fail to even do 500 damage, let alone multiples of it.

The annoying thing is that the game suggests that it only works for LRM, Stream SRM, ATM and so on and not for SRM or MRM for example!

So? Do you want the challenges to resemble something akin to a Challenge or a Participation Certificate?

Just wanted to say (I know I'm a little late), that not all of us are players who are routinely in the 80+% on the Jarl's list. However, having events that only 20% (or less) of the player population can "regularly accomplish" may need to be relooked at. Hence, I'm not complaining on a 500 match score requirement on an event that lasted for seven days. I think this aspect was well done for this event, though we have had events of the past that I think where too punishing.

On this one, there are many factors that can come into effect.
- Where they in a group? Solo players within a group (I find groups tend to ignore their "pugs")? Was it a group of solo players only (which means absolutely no leadership, strategy nor comms during the match most times)?
- Who where they fighting against? Did the other side have a (large) group? How good were the players on the other side?
- What was the tier and/or age of said players? Were they still new to the game? T5 players in faction for an event?
Many factors can go into a player getting sub-optimal results. I can recall a few matches where mechs would drop out of the dropship already dead (the enemy could shoot them before they even dropped). If/when that happens, there isn't exactly much that player can do with a mech down right there... (as an example.)
Though, sub 500 damage is a little low (read as "wow, that is really low") damage for FP. Even most "new to faction play" players normally get around 700-800 damage in a FP match... (But, without being in said match or even seeing the match, I don't want to be too condescending to those players, as I do not know what happened.)

With all respect to players who like FP mode, I don't think that everyone likes FP (specially the current FP) so i think it's better that we all have a free choice, and loot bag can be earned in all modes.

I think he was mostly hinting that he wanted loot bags to be based upon damage dealt, rather than match score because FP match scores aren't any higher than QP match scores per game, and considering FP games are longer... If grinding for loot bags, it will hinder FP's population...

Default loot bag for bulk challenge (pls not match score because of the disparity between modes, but easy level, 300 dmg or whatever) and "shiny" loot bag for 500 point games or 5 kill games or whatever markers can be set that represent a "good match". Just give a sightly higher chance of the good stuff and maybe one or two cosmetics that aren't in the others.
Can they make a "paint ticket = good for one premium colour of choice"? That would be a good reward....
Anyway, I ramble.

they hand out participation reward in just about all events, (lately) 2 wins. don't need to be alive to reach that one, just need the rest of the team carrying and getting that team win, which can happen
as for the FP reaching 500 match score, only ones that may obtain that match score, are those with well over 2k damage, One may, at least, need an average of 500+ damage per mech, not a total of 500 from 4 mechs. and of course any thing that adds towards the match score.
basically, if you can't reach a 500 match score in QP, you're not going to in FP.
The thing,(I found) that was bad about this event, was the IS LBX20 thing, and trial mechs unable to be used. it did need some adjustments to work out better, for the new players. So yeah, to me I see these events benefiting new pilots more then old, this one . . was not one of those events for new players, so it happens sometimes

At least I have some good variants and even Heroes of those mechs listed as a requirement. Maybe it's time to use my Firestarter Firestorm that I got with the Solaris 7 mech pack. I've never used that at all.
