Question: when it says, for instance, accomplish xyz in a blackJack, is that any blackJack? Is the hbk-iic only doable in the baseline hbk-iic? Or can it be done in a hbk-iic-a?

Events like this can be completed in any mech of the correct chassis.

of course i cant wait to see the fallout that results from the trashmechs in the list. lol. i do kind of like these kind of events because they do dust off seldom used mechs. but omg these decks are bad.

Did a 1104 dmg 6 solo kill 0 assists match with the trial zeus (I needed to do 4 matches to finish the assists as I kept killing everything i engaged in the zeus), had a 963 4 solo kill with trial atlas (and again 4 matches to get the 10 assists), trial kodiak was 3 matches to be done its category, and the same went on with most every other trial mech. From 1 to 4 matches to finish its category. If you know how to aim and play to each mech's strengths on any particular map then basically all the trial mechs are perfectly usable for the event.

I MIGHT run one of my accounts through the faction side, but i'm not sure if I'll do two of them. I guess it depends which account i am running at the time. My primary I've got plenty of mechs to tailor to any map/mode that comes up and hit all the chassis categories of the event. My second account less so, and my third account I have all four bays filled and only two of them are categories in this event.

All he means is you can drop four of the event Mechs in each single FP match. Ie. Make progress towards four event goals all at once.
Yes, you can do it all in QP - as the event description explicitly states. It's up to you.
But I agree with the advice that dropping four of the Mechs into FP will generally be easier than trying to do it all in separate QP matches.
