i remember that in mechwarrior4:vengeance modified catapult could carry 4 LRMs 15 wirh 480 rockets per each LRM and still had some space for lasers, so pair of LRMs 15 is lower fire power and support

Maybe we will once again have to call our spy, Paul. He has given us the sketches of a Jenner after all. :)

The "square"-ness of the cockpit, behind the blunted nose, bothered me, frankly, but it doesn't any more, because now it looks more like a fighter plane cockpit. In fact, the glass work on this is superb and far more practical than previous designs. The air inlets behind and toward the top of the cockpit shield are a very nice touch, and I could actually see those being hand-holds to get into the 'Mech cockpit

Well put - the design looks like a real war machine, something that really means business, and changing away from that 'fishbowl' canopy that stuck out just begging for a full SRM rack to obliterate it, to a more functional cockpit that looks like it could have come straight out of a late 20th century helicopter gunship. It's a really sharp re-envisioning of an iconic IS mech.

Cat was always one of my favorites. Nice job.

Anyone found a way to make this image larger without losing quality? Been using these as my win7 Aero theme :)

Also the catapult looks brilliant, as will all of the upcoming mech reveals.

Why do you hate us? This mech is mainly used in CC, so it deserves Liao insignia on it. :)
I don't hate YOU, Adridos... <_< ;) :( I have a general distaste for House Liao, especially since as we speak, in the game universe, my unit is being stranded by your House, and I'm going to need to pay through the nose for a ride home, thank you very much. You, you're a right old chap, and I like you; in fact, I won't want you in my cross hairs in the future... however (shrugs) :(

Hold on, and they'll post it in the Media section soon enough. :)

I truly hope so, James... I honestly do. Really getting to the level of adrenaline where the only thing to sate my curiosity will be in-game visuals. I'm trying to be so patient, but I've never been good at patience.

Yeah, I already know that. But the better side of the thing is you know who to aim at. Who's declaring himself the Chancellor now? Just quess. ;)

That's my favourite mech off all times :) I'm so happy he's in the game! And the design looks so awesome!
Played through MW 4, Mercs and all the expansions with a catapult (as soon as I got it ingame)!

I prefer unguided rockets to LRMs though - give me Rocket Launcher 20s or MRMs on those racks - they're way manlier!

Bombardment on a MASSIVE SCALE. LOVE IT! Nothing like having a Catapult or 2 setup to unload the fireworks!

It's one of the best Support mechs out there, and a classic. A great choice, with decent selt defense capability. (Whether minimum range brackets will be supported will be a huge factor affecting LRMs. I like everything about the Cat' it'll be a fun mech to hunt if LRMs don't operate well close in.

I really like how the new look has given it a "Machine of War" look. I always thought a machine where the cockpit jutted out from the torso was a bit impractical.

So much sexiness!!!

I've always had a soft spot for the Catapult. My very first week of playing MPBT on the GEnie network in 1994 I ran into a guy named Black Knight who showed me the ropes. He gifted a Catapult to me. It was my very first mech, and still holds a place in my heart.

MWLL and the Arrow Cat adds to my love of the mech.

Thanks guys. Looks great!

Question is, If I hit the missile pod... does it explode if the flap is up, but blow off the flap when its down...?
