So doing the War event and heading to the Burn out comp at the speedway this week and I saw this guy smoking up the MWO map.



Great Stuff and definitely a cool way to end this event.

Mech-cellent!


Edit : I might Michael Winslow some engine effects over the top later.

I like to say if you play enough MWO you see all kinds of crazy stuff

Thats actually a fractional HP death.

It happens when you have less than 1 but greater than 0 HP on whatever component hit destroyed you.

It is MY FAVORITE BUG because you ragdoll over but are STILL ALIVE and can even shoot. You don't die until someone comes over and damages you with collision damage.

IE, you literally get to curb stomp a ************.

Half a point of health left on whatever component "destroyed" last. Its a consequence of PGI's inability to properly handle decimal points or rounding off on how it displays damage, health, range, etc. For example, a clan TC1 is supposedly adding 4% to your laser range yet when used with a C-ERML (with a 400 meter optimal) it adds 15 meters instead of 16 meters as far as your cockpit display of weapon ranges says. I've had numerous matches where the bitchin'betty tells me that a component is destroyed, and the mech cookie doll might show zero structure present, yet the weapon inside that component location is still firing away just fine.

The not-truly-dead glitch only happens to me when I've got Override engaged. Once I turn off override, boom, I die properly.
