Well, the majority of my matches this weekend seemed to be about running in circles... To make the most of that, I am playing Urbanmechs a lot, so I can keep up with the rotation and still shoot back at my pursuers. Which made me think of the solution...

Introducing... The Urbanmech Nascar solution...

Implement an Urbanmech 2: A 50 ton medium Mech with the same graphics as the classic Urbie, just rescaled.
Followed by the Urbanmech 3:A 70 ton heavy Mech with the same graphics as the classic Urbie, just rescaled.
Followed by the Urbanmech 4: A 90 ton Assault... You get the idea... ;-)

This also solves the problem of Urbanmechs not being common enough... ;-)

Win-Win. ;-)

I think the racetrack sound effects on the map selection aren't helping.

NASCARing has become a terrible disease, too many people avoiding getting shot
(they should try some other game IMHO)
the quality of QP gameplay has been going down all 2019 and I have low hopes for 2020 unless something changes
I (and my teammates) have been adapting to the regression so far, really only enjoying playing FP with seasoned pilots in groups
obviously QP will remain a show of the poorest gameplay I've ever had to deal with sice the game got out

this coming from a very old player supporting the community

When I run off in a Light and take down a struggling enemies Assault it's good.
When enemy Lights run off and take down a struggling friendly Assault it's bad.

It's just perspective

You know you don't have to run slow assaults right? There are assaults capable of 80kph.

I regularly run assaults that move 40-50 KPH without many problems in many matches. In an alt account, I have been limiting myself to using stock engine sizes, so I've been moving 64 KPH in a Blackjack in T5 matches without problems, often even being in the front of the pack.
