im still convinced that ppcs are significantly less accurate when firing more than one at a time. this is why you see me tapping them off in game like they are uacs. idk if thats real or just me being paranoid, but i feel like my proficiency with them has gone up since i started chain firing them.

There's clearly a hit reg problem because my inability to hit things surely couldn't be because I'm a shite shot...

PPCs dont have a hitreg problem, they seem to have more of a convergence problem, especially if mounted in opposite arms

yea thats kind of what im seeing. i think firing them in chain fire causes the convergence vectors to be computed on a per hardpoint basis rather that grouped together with an average approximation. its probably fine to fire multiples if they are in the same arm or torso segment. its still an approximation but its a lot tighter than what you get with widely spaced points. i prefer the double tap method though, because it allows me to compensate for error sooner, before i got a lot of heat to deal with.

About the only weapons that never have hitreg issues are homing weapons: Streaks, LRMs, ATMs.

The rest of the time, flip a coin, check the wind, and consult a Magic 8-Ball.

PGI made some changes imo
I had to flush my DNS cache, seems better

As a high ping time player the worst offending hit reg weapons for me are Racs and MRMS.. both of those seems to just do nothing damage wise for me.. I pump ammo into a mech and watch it flicker but not change color. Very frustrating, as low ping customers seem to be able to murder everything with them.

C-ACs, C-UAC, UACs, PPCs of all types all seem to have random issues but RACs and MRMs are the worst offenders..

Just a reminder for folks who don't recall - host state rewind causes some of the problems we see

As I understand it because of latency in internet connections on both players side vs the host server there can be mismatches on where we think we need to shoot and where the other players computer and the server think the two mechs are.
