ELO only works with large player counts. It also relies heavily on the queue making sense, which it doesn't.

I don't need help gathering people up to get a game. Give me back my lobby and rooms with launch buttons.

pgi's best laid plans for an fp matchmaker are easily circumvented by forming a group. its one of the reasons i was against a match maker from the start, those resources could have been spent in other areas.

Yeah the ELO system isn't working.

Lurmgod got skipped two drops in a row yesterday when there was, without question, solo droppers in all the drops.
There is NO way that Lurmgod has lower ELO than half the people in said drops, absolutely impossible.

It needs to be public so it can be verified because I'm sure it's not working.

I'm willing to believe ELO may come into play when mm is dealing with groups, but I've dropped solo enough times to know that it is first come first serve.

Nah it's not first come.

Lurmgod had been in Q for 2 timers... And got skipped. It's definitely not working for Solo.

When I solo drop in FP, as long as I get the priority next in line message, and there spots open for solo droppers (i.e. can't make 12 using groups 2-12), then I get the drop.

afaik if someone with lower elo and has priority and when you don't, it won't consider you.. i.e. it sorts first on priority, then elo

As far as I know the FP MatchMaker uses Tiers, not Elo, and Tiers have nothing to do with Elo.

So if you think the FP MM is related to Elo : You're wrong.

The order is something like :
1) Biggest to smallest groups possible to fit in.
2) Highest to lowest Tier players with priority status.
3) Highest to lowest Tier players without priority status.

Basically the priority status mostly allows priority lower Tier solo players to skip over non-priority higher Tier solo players.

Why did Lurmgod get skipped twice ? Because there was too many Tier 1 players with priority status queued up with him.

Actually no, you are wrong, as usual.

It is ELO based, it definitely works - sometimes. It has nothing to do with Tier whatsoever. PGI spent the better part of 6 months coding it - spoke about it numberous times on the forums, Dev updates, YouTube videos etc etc.

The problem is how its calculating priority queues vs ELO. There is an issue there somewhere and it is also seemingly inconsistent. Sometimes I will get skipped and I can see from other streamers or whatever it's just a bunch of LRMing baddies (like you). MOST of the time however I do not get skipped when Solo.

Cool... doesn't matter because there's typically not enough time for even a 2nd big group to queue up before the first group to have queued up is launched, bypassing any matchmaking in that process... but it does looks cool in the video.

So where's that magical SSR value displayed ?

Lol so won't even admit you're wrong. Just make up another grabage statement. There is often 24/24+ in the queue during peak. Stop talking absolute nonsense.

As for SSR - do you have some issue with comprehension? That's what we've been discussing... The fact no one can see it so we suspect that is a bug but very hard to prove without numbers.

Even on weekends I can count the amount of times there's more then 24vs23 players in the queue on my fingers, it's still the minority of times, and that's on the peak time of day of the peak days of the week : The majority of times a FP match launches on any day, it's bellow 24vs24, peak time or not.

OK I get it, ELO is a mythical hidden MWO value, and I have comprehension issues with it because I can't tell it's not displayed without someone first using a visible sentence to warn me beforehand it's meant to be a hidden value, assuming it really exists to begin with...

Well I'm the one guilty of suggesting "As far as I know the FP MatchMaker uses Tiers" because I didn't know about the hidden ELO rating, while you're the one guilty of affirming "Actually no, you are wrong, as usual. It is ELO based.", despite you being the one meant to know all about the hidden ELO rating, and so perfectly understanding that the whole point of this thread is precisely that : You can't prove if it's ELO based !

As for my inability to know beforehand if a value I just heard of is being displayed or not, being somehow tied in any way to choosing to play my own favorite weapons instead of having to stuff down yours... Well good luck with that.
