Hahahaha, that sure is a good retort for having been shown you're wrong in plain text.

BTW, Lrms were buffed.

So I think the video says that... once there are no groups left, the two solo teams are then balanced to achieve an equal ELO rating, instead of just automatically using the players with the top 12 highest ELO rating from each queue.

In which case as a solo player with priority status you could be skipped, despite having one of the top 12 highest ELO rating from your queue ?

Not to mention Faction Loyalist priority.

I concede my defeat : I failed to prove that Yondu Udonta was wrong.

So did you by the way.

What I dont understand is why when theres 2 strong teams (1 on each side) and 2 **** teams (1 on each side) qued a lot of times the MM will put the strong teams vs the **** teams on the opposing side. Was it really so hard to make it so when multiple 12 mans are on both sides to match them by cumulative elo?

Faction play has never ever had a balancing system

P.G.I said it wasn't designed with one, and never would have.

So this question set out in the faction play forums is invalid.

Unless you are referring to Electric Light Orchestra, or some similar phrase, Elo is not an acronym.

Yes, I know PGI staff pronounce it "Ee-el-oh."

Elo is not an acronym.

The MM always starts by selecting the biggest group(s).

Which means each time the MatchMaker has to choose between launching either an incredibly balanced 12 solo vs 12 solo match, or an incredibly lopsided 12grouped vs 12 random solo match... the MatchMaker will automatically select the worst kind of match-up.

Short story : The more you group, the less time you spend in the queue, the less likely you become to spend enough time in the queue to encounter an enemy group, unless you actively sync drop both groups to make it happen.

thanks, that's not what I meant. I've repeatedly experienced when there are 2x12 mans on each side (we were aware of weak 12 mans on both sides and we trying to get a match against a strong 12 man on another side to face our strong 12 man), the MM matched the strong vs the weak groups (not solos)

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see anyone refer to Elo as an acronym? Weird flex I guess.

Capitalization. "ELO." That's why you see the Electric Light Orchestra references as well.

Maybe a bit pedantic and tangential to the actual topic at hand?

Nope! Because it still keeps getting capitalized - and details are important.

There is a material difference between, "let's eat, Grandma!" and, "let's eat Grandma!"
