Looking at videos of the game leading up to release I was mostly impressed with the look of the game but there's a certain sharpness lacking when playing on my systems (I have a laptop and a desktop PC) and I can see a weird ''etching'' or crosshatch pattern on everything. I'll grab a screenshot once I'm back home tonight.
Both are running the game at 1920x1080 with the laptop on medium settings and the PC at max. It definitely looks better on the desktop but that cross hatch is still there. Also, I did install the latest Nvidia drivers.
Is anyone else seeing something like this and if so have you played around with settings and found a way to get it back to normal?
Other than that, seems to play fine and I'm looking forward to running through the campaign. So far I've just tested things in instant action.
As a reference for basic system specs.

Maybe this article can help:
https://www.pcgamer....qChIQy7okT4_oBg
There seem to be some settings like anti-aliasing which make the game quite ugly if set too low.
In fact when looking at the AA-comparing videos linked in the article, i think this may be what's causing your problems.
Hint: You may need to scroll past some lengthy hardware ads to find the meaty part of the article.

Thanks Daggett, I'll see if this helps.
Looking real quickly at the videos with the anit-aliasing at maximum and minimum settings it does look like it could be related to that.

You want AA at absolute max
But, disabling the sharpening in the settings, hitting alt+F3 and adding NVidias own sharpening filter yields better results for me
AMD owners also have a driver wide sharpening setting

For me worked setting AA to HIGH and Sharpening OFF
The Image quality is a little too blurred for my taste but the bad "pattern" has gone for now...
(MAXIMUM AA not recommended, it blurs the image even further)

The Alt F3 hint is a good one. It is still a bit blurry though, especially buildings further away. Textures look much better once you get closer.
I guess I am getting used to it. But that is a problem I never had before. I really have to force myself not to get too close to the screen or I get the feeling that I need new glasses because of the blurry graphics.

Look at this thread on Redit.

A posted going by the username of Norvax has posted an Engine.ini tweak that did greatly reduce the dithering for me on a lower AA setting
