Mw3 Mobile Repair - Should There Be A Repair Limit?

In Mechwarrior 3 I feel like the mobile repair base is too much of a crutch and basically negates a lot of balance/design. I know most players can just boat small lasers and insta-leg everyone but if you're trying to run a legit campaign and are NOT doing that, the base still takes most of the challenge out of any missions, regardless of the difficulty.

This is only one of the problems of MW3. The fully customizable mechs, with no hardpoints and at no price, are even worse,
But have you heard it? MW5 is out. And it pretty much makes the older titles obsolete.
