Here is Mechassault back then. More than 15 years ago.




Game looks fantastic given that was over 15 years ago. All the mechanics of the 3rd PV mech shooter are there.

Look at the 2019 modern games. Aside from the quality of graphics and the control hardware, they still run on the same basic principle pioneered by Mechassault.

Its all the same operating principle.

Doesn't take much to see what a modernized MechAssault can do with up to date graphics.

Mechassault back during 2002. This was a game way way ahead of its time.

I had fun with both of them, once I came to terms with how simplistic they were vs Mechwarrior games.

Can not argue with that. Yeah, MWO has lots of flaws, although MWO stays (tried to) in the Battletech timeline, and tried to avoid 3rd person. But gave a limit to it. Seen pilots hide behind hills, and use third person to lrm boat. While everyone else is in cockpit, first person. Mechassault was all 3rd person, and a quick buck $$ for Microsoft.

The xbox games were pretty good action games tho.
