I will attempt to explain.
The two strategies are related!

TLDR: Use Strategy Two to defeat strategy one, obviously!

Long Version:
When the attackers are so so and are refusing to attack, waiting behind the gates and some such, the defending team despite defending and leaving the crown jewels unguarded should rush out a gate, kill their lily livered wave.

And then retreat back through the other gate, to avoid a loss of time as the "OTHER GATE" is now closer due to the enemy fleeing your teams rush out of the first gate. Simple!

Now you may say the jewels are unguarded and if some little fast light mech gets through somehow.....

Now let me stop you there......ask your self, how fast can that fast little mech wid fast little mech weapons they destroy the CROWN JEWELS, not very fast imo.

Even so one could always get your most wounded mech provided they are competent at killing fast light mechs, to eject and meet up with said fast light mech at the objective for some Bye Bye Light mech action. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.


Of course one could simply rush out the gate, kill their wave and then spawn farm their remaining waves, however it is best to eat slowly to avoid intergestion
