Gonna make this short. I have done many short Mechwarrior
Movies and fan shorts on my channel. Right now I am
Shooting and directing a full Length fan film. I have
Zero budget and only doing this for the love of Mechwarrior
And battletech. I do all the special FX and designs. From costume
To the cockpit. The mechs in the movie are PGIs Mechwarrior
Online Mechs. I mask them from the game and try to green
Screen them in to real life recorded scenes. This is my trailer
Hope you guys like. It's not polished. It's a rough draft of what
To expect. I do all the acting in this trailer.

awesome use of your free time! you are doing great! keep it up!
next time try to use some practical lights when recording to better sell laser shots.
would be great if you added more wide shots. good reference -
it's hard to build a story on one interrior shot.
add window reflections
some motion design elements would do you good and add produciton value. just overlay them. look how much they can add to this piece of my free time
(i bought a camera that failed to deliver on the video quality side so i decided to proove to myself that video quality is not as important as storytelling. i got baked and made this on a friday evening)
fonts matter. try to look for some futuristic ones here https://www.dafont.com/ add some green or blue glow, lower opacity, profit.
when it comes to trailers - it's all about music and sound design (boom woosh low freq throbbing etc). steal some x-ray dog music and video copilot fx sounds + action essencials (i can help you find the torrents)
are you using a planar tracker? rotoscoping mechs is easy af when using it. (mocha pro is your go to software + they have a lot of tutorials on how to rotoscope and an AE plugin)
the key to saving time is pre-production. make a storyboard first. then put it on a timeline and edit the stills. when you see that a scene is working - shoot it.
you've got this! if you need help just msg me
and now for something funny (camera shake) -
