The map: I drew a picture of it. I don't know how it would work out in real life, but it was like perfect. It was like all the advantages of the best maps really heightened, and almost none of unpleasant parts.

I don't know if it encourages or discourages nascar, but I think the team needs to be on the same page to play it. And towards the end it turns into an all out melee. In my mind the map was very large. It almost drove you to stay in the fight or you'd be walking too much.
Anyways, about the map, it's like a rock shelf, with a shelf underneath. truck ramps on either side. It's risky to go down the ramp, but risky to go up it too. There are plenty of obstacles in the underneath part.
Gameplay: I honestly don't know how this would play out in real life, but it was fun in my imagining:
1. This sounds weird but actually made the mechs move better. If your mouse hits the limit of your torso turn, the mech would spin on it's feet automatically, a little faster than with the turn key. I was in a madcat and did the smoothest damage spreading and dive behind a corner. I know it would alter how it's done now, but it seemed for the better. It had an ease in and ease out factor that allowed you to hold your target so much better as you turned and when you stopped turning, instead of left arrow key and jarring turn.
2. Energy weapons. Towards the end of the match, I noticed that only 3 lasers were firing. I had like 2 ppcs, and 4-5 lasers. After that, only one laser. Then finally none. I had no idea why it wasn't firing, then I saw a very dark blue bar on my hud. Basically what happens, is each time you fire a large strike, the bar will drain out, then slowly recharge, but never to full brightness again. It will keep doing this over and over until it gets dim, and can't recharge anymore. Like a battery that loses some of it's maximum charge, but regains some punch.
It gave me a lot of shots, but discouraged abuse of heavy weapons. I'm not against lasers or any weapon, it was just a neat effect.
Edit:
Now that I think about it... see, before the end rush in my dream, I had gotten stuck and shot to pieces, missing an arm. Each limb/part would count towards your maximum "battery" because I was so damaged is why I had so little power, it was 1/3 empty by that time, and getting heavily damaged halved that.
In my estimation, it would give you about 85% amount of the shots you typically fire now, so most of the time it wouldn't make any difference, but in long battles against heavy armor, you might get down to bullets and missiles.
