Ok, so I have to say, I'm impressed with the ambition behind this DLC you guys at PGI have planned.
Here are some things that particularly impress me:
1) The DLC will be FREE?! Really!? Did I get this correctly? Thats.. just... like... WOW. Awesome!
2) New mechs - Ok, that was pretty much expected, but I'm glad you included the Corsair since it's a PGI original.
3) New weapons and equipment - will make a welcome edition.. Not too happy about ECM, but that's just me

4) New Biomes! - Hey you guys adopted my idea for a moon / lunar biome! Awesome!
5) New Mission type - hell yeah! A greatly anticipated feature there!
6) Career mode - Also a very welcome feature! I kinda expected something like this on release, but hey, better late than never..
Here are also some of the things I think you should also include:
1) A variant or just the direct mod options of Navida1's 3D HUD and Volumetric scale mods. They greatly improve immersion and are pretty much a must-have mod for this game. Add them as an option and pay the man for the rights. He deserves it.
2) Inverse kinetics (also found in Navida1's volumetric scaling mod)
3) A mission type reminiscent of MWO's siege mode. Let us defend / attack orbital cannons.
4) Consider modifying "Warzone" mode to be an actual warzone - with mass scale combat, friendly and enemy mechs and vehicles of variable states of damage.. Right now, warzone feels like "whack a mole", not really a frontline conflict.. it needs added friendly units and en-mass enemies.
5) Escort mode. And make it an MFB, not a friendly mech.
6) Add also the Roughneck, because it is a PGI original, and it's logical that farmers would have it.
7) City biome? Like edge-to-edge city? Huge buildings, wide avenues... You can use existing city tiles but make it so the procedural map generator stacks them edge to edge?
8) Look at the "expanded dropship" mod.. Maybe a few more rooms to play around in.. including a "trophy" room?
9) Can you guys PLEASE add some more depth to in-ship characters? They don't seem to age. They talk simply, plainly and serve very little practical purpose other than to get the next mission. Please add a roleplay element to the game. I mean we play through the whole character's career. You really think that in 20 years we only speak to Fahad 3-4 times? And he whines the whole time? What about the armed guys around the dropship? What about the hired pilots?
10) Some new voices for the pilots would be nice..
11) Character generator. At least let us pick what our guy looks and sounds like! A minimum would be to choose among 10 pictures unique to our guy that DON'T appear as a pilot later.
Aaaaaaanyways.. food for thought there.
Keep up the good work!
I'm just finishing my second playthrough.. hope the DLC comes out in time for a 3rd or 4th..

These aspects (below) would be part of a free update:
- Keep tabs on the latest Inner Sphere news to check when borders change or when new tech becomes available + many more lore-based events.
- QoL fixes such as full 360 LOS radar, and ambient and area-based heat effects.
- ...and more still to come...

I don't know PGI... While this is definitely in-keeping for your way of doing things, you could at least try to make it not look like you're stringing people along for a game that never comes, the one that measures up, because all this has happened before.
Honestly, those mechs listed should be FLC, and it's not encouraging to hear that there's likely some string of missions for each one, because they won't sell that DLC well enough. Why do you think that adding more of the same and expecting it to do better will work? It hasn't so far. Want a list of mechs to make the DLC stand out? I'll give them to you, gratis: Wasp, Stinger, Valkyrie, Clint, Whitworth, Crusader, Ostroc/Ostsol, Longbow and Devastator. There we go... Now that's a good start.
As for the other features, I really hope they do make the game better. It's worth considering which of them are worth incorporating into the base game just to smooth out the user experience (and whatever else to make it smoother). All of that shouldn't be DLC only, IMO. And about the new tech, the primitive tech is one thing, how about making the player able to incorporate aspects of new tech into their mechs as it becomes available?
For example, Ferro Fibrous armour is commercially available come a certain year, why not let the player stockpile it (even if it's expensive and expended through missions) and install it on any mech in their dropship following that date? It's not endo-steel, where something like that'd require a great house's loyalty or some renowned individuals owing you some favours to pull off the factory time required to install that on a mech.
And just like that, we have a potential set-up for some missions and some cool rewards; let's allow players to choose to make their favourite mechs something bleeding edge (for IS tech) and more fun come 3049. Potentially giving out faster or lighter (XL) engines, extra hardpoints, agile gyroscopes, literal shield arms, or installing the new ECM tech being among other rewards to earn. I hope that's being considered among these quirk blueprints, it'll help players with that IS merc commander fantasy, to have some more influence over their mechs.
There's good DLC and bad DLC models, I guess we'll see what's what soon enough. As a wise man once said, "Don't worry about it." Well, I won't. It is what it is.

Well.. hey, a boy can dream..
In that case, keep the price tag at something respectable.. like IDK.. 10$ maybe?

- New equipment: ECM, EWECM, BAP, EWAP, MASC, Supercharger.
- New Weapons: Chem Lasers, Short Burst lasers, Mech Rifles.
Great! Let me know when these are brought into MWO and I'll gladly buy a mech pack!

+ IFF + ECCM (https://www.sarna.net/wiki/ECCM)
+ Angel ECM Suite + Guardian ECM Suite + Null Signature Systems + Void Signature Systems + Stealth Armor
+ Bloodhound Active Probe (https://www.sarna.ne...nd_Active_Probe)

It won't be that tech you've pointed to, that stuff comes later on the timeline. If I was to guess, the EW-ECM and the EW-AP are electronic warfare variants of ECM and BAP, with properties separating them from the "normal" variety versions. So, like burst fire AC's or stream LRM's they'd offer different iterations of a base functionality. Sounds fun until you think that that EW stuff is likely to mess up your HUD, minimap, locks, etc and is bound to be equipped on every one of those Cicadas zerging you come late game (as they'd be now be CDA-3M's). It has the potential to be... Quite annoying. Ya never know, though.

Liked. I would personally pay a licence fee to Gold Harmony on top of the DLC just to have those mechs in the game, Wishful thinking I know.

No.
I am not having ghost heat in MW5, or charge cycles on Gauss to pander for the P VS P crowd.
What you could do thou, is add a Bot lobby underneath the MWO NA servers tick box and that would let me grind out ranks without having to worry about time zones and e peen idiots.

Take your time, get it right. MW5 is great as is. Money is ready when you are.
Mech-cellent!

Yeah, that was kinda weird, because ECM is just supposed to deny you from getting a lock, not screwing your HUD up like that. That jamming tower is probably some forbidden tech banned by the Ares convention, or at least it should be
