Cool, except you need to change the wait queue to a queue with numbers, no point waiting on the spinny thing if we don't know there are or are not other players actually trying it. you know 8/8 then drop not circle of searchwarrioronline

actually, need to mix it all up a bit, maybe groups and solos, might be a stretch if emp gets together all day, but by and large it might improve the game

In grouped VS ungrouped matches you're either stomping or getting stomped...

But queue 8 player groups with the 4 weakest ungrouped players who never win by themselves, and you've improved the MWO matchmaking experience tenfold.

Yep this exactly! This will help group queue because not being able to drop with a friend is silly.. actually is good to see they haven't completely abandoned our game.

12v12 cw, 8v8 quick play, 4v4 solaris, and solo que merging with groups in quick play would be advisable as well.

this would prolly need some kind of lobby perhaps.. knowing the number of groups forming in a lobby would be helpful too.. in fact numbers for Forming, queued, playing..

Though putting out numbers tends to not be implemented because numbers can work against the game as well as for the players, in which case its just hide them.. giving too much info out can create headaches too.

THIS - THIS!! EYRI has been showing up on the weekends. we bring 24-50 people and then 1 bows out for waiting too long. Listen, I want to stress this - 4 mans is where it's at. Drop with 4 man lobbies if you can't make 8.

BUT here is MY thought. IF PGI can figure out a way to make the game recognize that it NEEDS to run 8v8 if / when server load is TOO LOW - and it CAN run 12v12 IF/WHEN server load is "AVAILABLE" then this would be PERFECT for all teams. and the game simply tells you "we are running 8v8 right now" or "we are running 12v12 right now" because the player base is either there - or not there. IT SOUNDS so easy - but is it? it SEEMS such an easy fix. FORCE 8v8 if necessary. RUN 12v12 when available. boom.

Cool. Think it could work out, though like others said some adjustments will need to be made. Like match score for events and I guess leaderboards unless that gets separated.

I second the idea for a player counter (like in faction play)
It makes forming the right sized group easier and lets people know they are groups in queue.

Had an absolute blast running 8 v 8 groups on stream tonight, was a nice surprise to see this change and all the groups that formed as a result. GG's to all the folks that we played against!

Overall I think this is a good change .. it's going to take a bit of time for folks to adjust to smaller teams on these larger maps .. but this kind of change is good!

8 man groups should ONLY Que up against other 8 man teams. It's pretty disheartening to get matched up against a premade and get stomped all night long. Other than that the matches are quick and easy to get into and quite a few have been fair and good fights.

Voting for combine solo and group queue!
Now in Quick's we have extreme small amount of active players and overwhelming advantage of one team in every fight, therefore mythical "balance" won't change.

Let solo and group fights together!

It would be great if you would let groups of 2 (maybe even three) to play in quick play - one group per team and alwaysa group on both sides. Fair and without significant power + you can't even find matches in decent time for groups of two (well I didn't try it for more than a year - guess why..). This would make me play with a lot of friends who quit becouse we can't play together and they are casualls and don't want full pre-made fights.

Who in his right mind would request something like that ?

This is a game in the Battletech Universum where the ONLY OBVIOUS choice is to pit as many players against each other as possible in a match ! and NOT to reduce that !

In all my 11700 hours of gameplay i hoped Piranah would upgrade to 24vs24 q-play and f-play
and maybe even fix Solaris by introducing a 24 FFA stomp.

but NO:-----

- not only were they unable to balance clan and IS
(remember the 2 weeks into the civil war upgrade challenge/event where IS was actually
winning ? (only because the clan teams switched side and thenthey realized this
update/skilltree etc changed nothing and went back to clans) leaving IS in the same situation
again?
- then they screwed up with SOLARIS
- then they screwed up introducing extra COMP play queue
(which should have been covered by SOLARIS)

- and now you´re turning this into a e-sport variant for those bimbos ?
this will kill the game even faster !
