Sorry you aren’t having fun. As you are a new player , I just want to let you know that 12-4 isn’t really going to be atypical and while the final score is lopsided, it’s not considered technically a “stomp” in MWO. MWO has a strong “snowball effect” at all levels. So, it’s really about the first few minutes of each match to determine how it goes. A game can start out 2-2 with a lot of good fighting and still end up 12-4. As often one team might get up 4-2 and press their advantage to a 12-4 result. The outcome was in doubt early, but once a team gets a 2 mech lead it can get out of control quick and often does. Again, not to diminish your feelings....just explaining so you know what to expect here should you carry on with MWO. Stomps are generally when you go down 0-3 in a match as the snowball then starts rolling early on. Go down 0-3 or 0-4 and it’s going to be 12-2 or worse probably 80% of the time. Close matches happen as well....if you can get to 6-6 or 6-7 it’s likely to be a 12-10 match. It’s just the rarity with how the dynamics of the game work.
All the best man!

Thanks for your kind words, hope situation will settle soon. This game have some very addictive and pleasant elements.

Match wait times last night were more than 15 minutes. And the wait had no payoff. Still had all stomp matches, 12-3 or worse. May as well just not play or smurf an alt account.

I tried to play again this evening and got again 3 stomp loses and 1 stomp win. No way this is funny or enjoyable to play.

The smart thing would have been to leave everyone in their existing tiers and let the new PSR move them up/down as appropriate. Pushing everyone into one tier facilitates power-farming and drives away the lower tier players. I'm sure the groups were happy stat-padding but the irony is thay they flooded T1 with groups.

And as I said, due to the way the matchmaker works, the higher the ratio of groups to solos the longer the wait times. The T1 groupees are now faced with the difficult decision of going solo or facing long waits.

It'll take a while for a significant population of solo T1's to filter their way up but the ironiy is the groupees will be pushing them straight back out in an effort to pad their stats on the first solos they encounter.

Try-hards will reap what they sow and cry-hard for doing so.

I too wondered about the complete equalization.
I figured maybe widen the spectrum, bring them together (but not the same).
EG A T1 would be on the BRINK of T2/3. Or maybe move everyone 1 tier towards middle.
But I don't know about the mechanics of doing that. I'm sure a simple reset is MUCH easier.

It must've been really tough for anyone new (or who doesn't read forums/FB groups) to pop back in during the first week or so, but its getting better and better as people spread out. The individuals are just moving slower than the groups (apparently).

Also... stomps tend to happen... when things fall apart, the ball just keeps rolling. The bigger team is focusing fire (as there are less options to shoot at), and they are picking on the weak mechs hoping to get the kill strike.... leaving even more focused fire. It also happens more so when the 'strong' players are the pushers and get eliminated... leaving the weaker builds and/or players to defend against a strong front.

I decided to wait a little bit to try once again. This morning situation with stomps are terrible, i played 4 games all 4 of them was 12-4 or less. Game is unplayable.

Out of curiosity, is everyone dropping solo or are some of you grouping?

Queuing as groups = longer queue times

It's also more difficult for the matchmaker to "balance".

dropping solo.

usually in the evenings pacific standard time and its a good 10-15 minute wait for a match. Makes this event virtually impossible to complete.

Good thing about these long wait times is my win ratio doesn't go down as much every night.

I only drop solo. And games i played after long wait times are far from balanced. Since i can always switch to mc2-b, winrates are not that bad, but games are rare interesting, almost all of them are one-sided. I don't think i will play this game until the end of july, then will give it the last chance.

I had three drops last night. The first two were within 30 seconds of hitting matchmaking, the second was around 2 minutes.
Tier 5 east coast USA evening.

It's certainly a lot faster then it was this weekend before the recent matchmaking loosening.
