You're tracking the reason FP became unplayable was because the "teams" chased all the solos away and kept it an unfriendly place for them, right? As the groups dwindled, there wasn't enough filler to make it work so you ended up with 45 minute wait times. Not blaming anyone, "teams" have a right to harvest anyone not as good as they are, and those harvested have a right to not go where those other guys are. Unfortunate that there isn't a place those filthy, unwashed solos can go anymore.

I have my hopes they would change everything around and move towards mwo2, maybe go open world figthing.

But its my feeling they're trying to milk us to stay around.

Russ says a lot of BS and then blocks people on twitter who call him on it. And let's not even get into the slurred speech on that one podcast interview.... My level of trust in Russ' utterances has been on an asymptotic approach to zero for a long time. The only reason the match maker needed teams was so that groups could still get a match. Solo matchmaking time was acceptable even in February. And as long as they force soup queue on players, they'll keep losing more and more population.

That appears to be the entire purpose of the soup queue. Chase off those malingering solos that don't spend a dime on the game in favor of the group players that at least give them a monthly budget to work with. Not that there's any problem with the business model, since PGI is registered as a non-profit organization....or should be.

Perhaps, in a few months, once population has tanked to the point that matchmaking of any form is a waste of effort, maybe someone will suggest a queue that solos can play in without being farmed by groups. But, until then, this is what we're stuck with.
