The Cataphract is a nice Mech indeed. Only thing I don't like about it, is its weak armor on his side torsos. But it's just another friendly reminder from our higher ups, that it's better not to get hit at all. ^_^

Yeah, a pretty speedy 'mech, (coming from a veteran light/scout pilot) even for a heavy and that it also mounts jump jets makes it a hard core 'mech that I would not mind piloting at some pilot, as long as I am able to customize it to use energy-based weapons over the ballistics that it mounts in it's primary setting.

The Cataphract is a pretty cool mech, though only the Liao-variants do really impress. Davions obsession with autocannons didn't do any good to the mech.

Though my favourite CCAF mech is the Jinggau. The cockpit looks like HE111. B)

Do not even bother. Your pretty Atlas, Awesone, Zeus, etc. cannot outrun our mechs by no way. B)

For our style of combat your Four Atlas cannot stand up to our 2 Stalkers, 1 Catapult, and 1 Raven.

That said, I really hope they have the Stalker in the release.

No, we are just best at using it (even against the Clans). It was made by Corean Enterprises on New Avalon. ^_^

Oddly enough, we also have the dinky distinction of being one of the Flea producers, aka the most ridonkulous 20-tonner around. Sadly, Capellan production doesn't really flower until we hit the 3060's or so. We do get TWO very nice mediums- the Vindicator that everyone associates with Liao, and the Blackjack that isn't but is a staple St. Ives design and a darn good one as well in it's multiple variants.

OrkDung? This is not a thread about the mech you want (or prefer) to use. It is about our mech designs (no, we just stole the Flea). :D

As far as the mechs available in 3049 that I can think of which are really trademark Capellan designs, but still made it into the PC games, the list isn't terribly long.

Catapult
Raven
UrbanMech (Last Seen - Mektek)
Clint (Last Seen - Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries)
Vindicator (Last Seen - Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries)

However, there are still several staple Capellan designs which seem to have never squeaked it's way into a Mechwarrior roster.

The Charger - though made in the Draconis Combine, the Capellans field a lot, though primarily in their own configs - One keeps it's speed, and drops the 5 small lasers for a large laser and two mediums, but loses half of it's armor in the process, making it quite frail. The other is a real beast, downgrading the engine and using the spare tonnage to equip dual SRM6'es, an AC20, and a smattering of small and medium lasers.

The Cataphract - Though the factory was lost during the 4th Succession War to the Fedsuns, it's a hearty heavy 'mech, sporting a PPC and AC10. Personally, I think it looks cool as hell, no less. Definitely worth fielding if they include it - though it often seems to be forgotten from game rosters.

i have been searching for mech designs that are known as signature capellan mechs or at least heavily favored by our house...

Whats the point of the thread if all we are going to do is name 3 mechs made locally on Sian or Grand Base? Liao imports vast numbers. Thank you FRR!
We wont see the cooler named House Mechs for another 9+ years. Until the Confederation gets its act together .

And we really cant even talk about the Cataphract then, by your "thread rules", as at this time its not being produced, Grand Base is still building the Earthwerks facility that can manufacture it.

Sunder and Owens are very iconic too

Foreign designs, hypocrite. And 9 years out.

I am done with your trolling.
Had hoped the forums would have been fun. Look to attack a few of the other posters next time, there have been a few others with hopes to drive certain mechs.

...and its just Orkdung. :D

Sorry for not noticing the "heavily favored" part, my apologies. :D

And Sunder and Owens are designed and made in CC, I do not see anything foreign about them, except the fact they were inspired by foreign mechs. :D

Did I miss something? Last time I checked my TRO it told me that both the Sunder and the Owens were designed and produced within the Combine.

This is correct. The Sunder and Owens are not Capellan at all. The only time you see Sunder made by Capellans is during the Jihad, when StarCorps Industries licensed the design from Luthien Armor Works to make it on St. Ives, along with the Black Hawk-KU (awesome!) and the Avatar (mediocre).

Also the Owens sucks the big time. There's nothing it can do that a Stealth-armored Sha Yu can't do twice as well. Firepower, armor, TAG, C3 Slave variants...all of it.

Anyways, back to REAL Capellan 'Mechs...The 80-ton Victor deserves mentioning, as do the 3055 'Mechs, the Thunder and Huron Warrior.

For foreign-conceived units, we favor a lot of 4/6/4 'Mechs, like the Crusader and Thunderbolt (The T-bolt was Tikonov's pride and joy before it was taken from us!). We also like the 6/9/6 45-ton Phoenix Hawk. A LOT.

We aren't just a faceless mass of Ravens, Vindicators, and Cataphracts, you know!
