Getting our money doesn't always have to be about us buying stuff, although I'd definitely shell out for a fully-functional Firemoth to complete the original 16 Clan omnimechs. Besides that, this is what I'd buy something for as a reward for PGI actually caring about improving the BattleTech experience:

-Inverse kinematics so battlemechs stop floating in the air next to hills

-Configurable HUD with HTAL and other damage diagrams, maybe comms UI too

-Ammo switching with other types of munitions like slug LBX, inferno SRMs, Swarm LRMs, explosive Narcs, etc.

-Split crit weapons like HGR and class 20 ACs so that we can use light and XL engines with them, and fix their firing arc to what's most restrictive per BattleTech rules

-Advance timeline so that we can get light ACs, ER flamers, plasma weapons, etc.

-Combined arms fights - these are most common in the BattleTech universe anyway

-Gravitational effects on jumping and running that are map-based, maybe even random

-A cool map where we're fighting on the hull of an orbiting warship, like a McKenna or a Nightlord

-Proper Clan dropships for CW - I want to be dropped by a Union C or a Broadsword, not a solahma Leopard.

Do any or all of those things and I'd happily buy a hero mech or a few! I like supporting developers who care enough about a game to make meaningful improvements to it!

I find it hard to see changing anything like this would make a difference for the game when the new tech path didn't do about anything.

New tech was July 2017, the highlighted portion looks like it is tail end of 2016.

its the massive double spike above the projection line, that's the newtech. it seem to have a slow start, but then that double spike happened. i don't think that would have been there without the newtech.

Both were 4 months later. Frist spike has more to do with end of the year. Normally spikes in dec.

2nd spike was new map and solaris. As I remember solaris got some press but then was a big let down.

The big spike at season 21 and 22 with all the new players is right at and after the launch of HBS Battletech, which brought in a ton of new and returning players who came, saw, and left. New player experience is crap, and until that is fixed nothing will change.

PGI try it ,and can not crack the heavy modified Cry Engine Version to bring it back , the Guys thats programmed and Codes leaves the Party 2015 ,now its a safe with seven dwarf Seals..like all other ideas ...not with the MWO Engine...

i'm curious as to what happened around season 40-45. there is a small up in new players and a huge drop in old ones only for the old players to return with another small increase in new players. (wish that was dates or something instead of seasons, also how long do you need to be playing before you are no longer a new player according to that graph?)

Season 40-45 was more or less the start of the COVID quarantine period. Apparently it takes a bunch of people sitting at home with nothing to do to breathe life back into the game, if briefly

Having clans/crews/outfits/units or whatever they are called in MWO teeing off on Tier 5 and Tier 4 players is not a terribly welcoming experience.

The groups in pugland are responsible for that.

Maybe fix what is already here before adding more stuff besides new maps I don't think we need anymore new things right now. What they need to do is put some more spit and polish on what is already here before thinking about any kind up data like new tech ect.
