Think about doing changes. You will never make everyone happy. All you can do is make them quit at this point.

There's no point in just listening, listening is not communicating, the community needs to be able to ask questions and get answers, even if those questions and answers are uncomfortable.
So it's up to you Deakon, Sean, Russ et al - show us that you can communicate instead of 'listening' and dictating.

Problem is PGI made it into a complicated mess. 91 nodes, individually are just weak that it's hard to feel a progression at all until you already sunk too much nodes in it.
They should have just abolished Quirks in most instances and provided different trees for different mechs, with a limit of 31 nodes, maybe even less.

In May 2017, the Steam player average was 1,749. The Fedcom Civil War patch received a typically large and short-lived boost. By October 2017, the last month before MechCon's annual boost, the player average was 1,617 — within 10%.
Really, the only events that appear to have driven away players were 1) PGI's first round of LRM rebalancing in April 2018, 2) disappointment over Solaris and MWO's rebranding, and 3) Russ' maintenance mode comment several months later.

I don't know how the old system worked. But perhaps it could even be as simple as having X number of points, and you can invest as many into any stat as you want, but there's a diminishing return/cap. A lot of the implicit restrictions of the skill tree seem arbitrary. Like right now, if you want speed tweak, you have to take tons of other maneuverability stuff you don't actually care about, and then you can only get a few % speed. Would it hurt if people wanted to dump all their skills into 10-20% speed and nothing else? Maybe on lights, but probably not on much else. (Diminishing rate/cap could differ for different weight classes, or even different chassis.)
Another thing to consider would be letting people spend skillpoints on skills that increase c-bills or other such things that don't help ingame. This could give experienced players who already win often a reason to exchange some of their power for more money, thus leveling the field a bit.

and Why we not hear Podcast from the Mapteams,Coders and Programmers , and all teh Folks thats build the Game like the begin of MWO ,the treads from Karl berg, the Videos from the Mapteams thats rebuild many maps..we seeing only Guys with Illusions, and Ideas and plans the Race , not the Guys thats ride the Race
we seeing Staffs and managers, and NGNG Guys, who the Working Crew ????? and what says this guys ,what is real to make and what is a Hollow Illusion..seeing the mangers says Inverse Kinetics comes back and months later ...sorry Guys , we not cant crack the engine , no IK comes back

I think this is very important and people need to think about this. Sure improvement in all areas will be great but what will really help the population.

MWO is in maintenance mode and no investment will be made in the game more than required to keep it running as is.
Has this changed with the recent announcements?

Piranha developed the game using Cryengine and signed an agreement to stay with that engine, making it impossible to change to Unreal or any other game engine.
Is this even true? I read it here on the forums, but it was only once and no one denied or confirmed it.

Is Piranha going to make MW II? Or are we talking about putting a wooden peg leg on the old horse and trying to flog it around the course one more time? Because I have no games I am interested in playing right now, but this game, as it is right now, is somewhere south of reinstalling Fallout New Vegas or Daggerfall Unity.

Recent announcements , Russ said he is willing look in to taking it out of maintenance mode.
Impossible to change to Unreal, This is not True per Russ but would take a lot of time(years) and cost. Still an option they're looking at.
Is Piranha going to make MW II, Everything is on the Table Per Russ.

I think the big question is if we can get an awesomeness rating bar for each mech, I mean my Assassin would have a huge awesomeness rating for sure. Think about it.

Maybe the comp premades are already whining about not having enough tier 5’s to roflstomp so pgi’s going to start resetting PSR every season now.
