I was anticipating a nice halloween pack sell like last year, mech + camo + cockpit & warhorn halloween themed.
I'll wait for the good complete collection instead. okay but a bit surprised.
Waiting for loyalty announcement.

When I first joined MWO in July 2020, in the Beach Party Event, I had trouble even getting 80 match score per game (new unskilled mechs, don't know what is "good" mech layout).
So for newer players grinding by with 80 match score per game, it takes 281 games to complete this!!
(I was terrible in melee up close combat, so ended up cramming in LRM on Assaults to get the match points.
Anyways, but I digress...)
Welcome to MWO!
This is the part where you discover LURMboating.
Just don't get stuck in that phase because some people never learn how to do more than sit in the back holding a button and hoping the lights don't come to feed on you.

then the sales will start happening. It will have a separate News post for the sales ETC. I will take requests on C-Bill mechs to put on sale ETC. Again this will be in another thread starting tomorrow.
I will be keeping an eye on this thread and am already considering extending the event for those that have limited time.

Since it's Halloween, I'm crossing my fingers for Camo Unlocks/Colors/Decals/Bolt-Ons. Let's get our mechs all costumed up, y'all!

In case nobody has told you, yet: AMS. The more, the merrier. If you have the CB and an open 'mech bay, I strongly recommend getting the KFX-C. The stock loadout only needs 3 weapon groups. ERLL on one, SPL & MG's on 2nd, and TAG on 3rd. Between the AMS, spotting assists, and ECM cover/interference, it's easy to get 300 Match Score per game, hanging around with the Assaults. Focus on the AMS, first, hiding behind low ridges near allies, only popping up to shoot when your teammates are also being shot. If some light 'mech comes running through, trying to backstab, that's when you use the SPL&MG group. Add the ERLL as you have heat for it (about 99% of the time) and keep the TAG on as much as possible. I've had much more practice, but I've gotten back-to-back matches over 500 score, so if you can do that, this event will go lickety split.

This would be the first year I remember Phracken pattern not making it into the announcements. Maybe second but last year had the Pirate theme going and had a deal on Buccaneer pattern

Its hard to set event goals when players have such WIDE damage, match score, etc per match. As well as play anywhere from 1 to 8 hours per day.
As an average T3 player....
I played for less than 2 hours and am at 10 loop bags (1644 match score), so ~7%. Right on track if I played this much EVERY day. I probably won't. But hopefully I'll have days that I can play 2 or 3x as much.
Also, I'm ~50% or higher on the other objectives.
The challenges are much easier to accomplish than the sheer volume of loop bags.
The loop bags are the gift that keeps giving.
The mech is a reward.... not a participation trophy.
