Yesterday we also searched MWO/internet for the history of MWO drop deck sale.

It seems that "MWO had never held a drop deck sale before".

Perhaps a first time for everything (please)?

Nice sales. But what about drop decks? Seems like just about everything but that is on sale.

I recall it happening twice. Might be more but thats all I recall and iirc it wasn't possible for a while for some reason. But its been a while and fits with mechbay sales.

You can get engines and weapons for 50% off by buying mechs with what you want stock, removing the items you want, and selling the rest.

Yeah, that doesn't work as well (at least, when I last checked it really the hard way) as you think it does. I discovered the sell-back values (again, as of when I checked, and PGI has likely made the curve more nasty since then) are actually lower than a 50% return, even with all the original equipment on the Mech being sold back. Not having a bunch of it there causes the value of the Mech being sold back to drop off dramatically, resulting in what a person strips off being effectively more like only 30% less (or worse... going more in the direction of normal price) than the base prices for the items. So it's much better to wait for a PGI-officiated Sale in order to get the desired price on the various equipment, regardless of the convolution level.

We have actually had a Drop Deck Sale before. As it was an extremely rare thing, I forget exactly when, but I know it has happened. You'll need to go back through the News Page's history of past things in order to find it. If I manage to track it down first, then I will either edit this post or make a follow-up post about it. :o

You get 47% back, means you save quite a bit on the engine.

Clarification for the bonus MC offer currently running in the store. I already bought the $49.95 MC bonus deal which I feel is the sweet spot in this 30% bonus deal.

Quote

Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch. There are no restrictions on how many MC packs you can purchase and receive the bonus.

Quote

If I make a second purchase for $14.95, will I receive the bonus MC? Yes
If I gift my second purchase for $14.95 to myself or someone else will I receive the bonus MC? Yes

If you have any other issues or inquiries, please feel free to let us know and we'll make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.

I originally spent $30 on MC back in 2013 during beta.

I spent $10 for Sarah's Jenner.

Nothing since 2013.

Today, got $100 worth of MC. Now, I'll get to try out some new builds.

Since COVID, I've been having a blast with MWO. Sure, the game isn't perfect, but it's still a lot of fun.

FP drop deck sale is a great idea

put it needs to be for $$ or MC and you throw in a free drop deck

also having an FP event to go along with the sale might be a good idea

Searching the MWO forums on the website or via search engines for specific things is depressingly difficult sometimes

Uhm... Who were you trying to post back at? Your post seems totally detached from whomever that it was supposed to be directed towards. :(

I saw drop deck sales nearly a year ago just after I started, and again a few months after that. There was a 3rd time, I think, where I was out of MC and couldn't grab any, during an event where no MC was earn-able. So that's 3 times in 11 months for me.

Is there no thread here to tell PGI which mechs weren't price changed yet?
I recall there had been in the past. I already gave it 15 hours.
I saw someone mention the Victor hero and another.
I am looking at WHM-9D and MAD-9M.
I guess I'll send a message to customer support instead.

Unless I'm missing something, 50% off Skill Point Bundles - In Game, is not showing in the in game store under "Bundles" tab. It shows as 1250 MC for bundle which is the standard price. Matt? Somebody?
