Q: Does anyone know what happened to this legacy cockpit item for radar deprivation?
Is it still usable and works for players who still have this item equipped?

ie:
A long time ago (when MWO was first starting out), there was a "Preorder cockpit item" for radar deprivation. I think it was a standing item.

That was the era when mechs can add "modules" to add extra functions.

(Since then, they have rolled this "module" system into the now infamous Skill Tree.
So nowadays the Radar Deprivation is no longer an item; it's a series of skill nodes).

If memory serves, you got some modules as pre order bonus, as those where pricey

And those would've been converted into XP and C-Bills, once PGI dropped the old ways of module grind endgame

Or into general skill points you can use on any mech

It's been a while, and me seems to remember that the date of the purchase for the module played a role as well

The modules were not cockpit items. There was a separate slot interface where they were equipped. That interface has been removed with the Skill Tree update and the modules themselves were converted into either GSP or C-Bills based on the date you obtained them on, cf https://mwomercs.com...15-16-may-2017/
